- Design, planning and execution of the data science road map for financial services firm providing data platform for making better investment decisions. Direct impact of your work will be billions of dollars invested and the longer term impact is changing how investing is done in the world.

Description
- Reporting into the Founder, you would be responsible for spearheading the Data Science function and lead design, planning and execution of the analytics road map.
Some of your key responsibilities shall be :
- Understanding customer requirements and provide unique ways to solve problems
- Explore the rich but still virgin territory of how can ML techniques help make investors better decision makers
- Building and grooming a team to help you execute
- Designing innovative solutions and approaches to solve investing problems
This is not a consulting role. Individual will be working on building a world class product that multiple high profile customers will use.
Profile
- B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science / Mathematics / Signal Processing or related fields from one of the premier Institutes (IITs/NITs/BITS). PhD's with a focus on ML or related topics shall be highly preferred
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in applied machine learning / AI, ideally in a financial services setup
- Proven track record of working in areas like natural language processing, time-series modelling, predictive analysis, information extraction, knowledge representation.
- Strong mathematical background (proficiency in statistics and algorithms)
- Strong and efficient programming experience in either Python or R
