Head of Data Science As the Head of Data Science you will : - Work with stakeholders to define and own data science roadmap for one or more business areas; Understands business problems and solving them - Lead a group of data scientists, analysts, and engineers to deliver scalable machine learning solutions to production - Provide technical and scientific leadership to the team - Roll up sleeves and do hands-on work when needed - Build, coach, mentor, and grow the team - Build strong working relationships and collaboration with leaders in product, business, and engineering teams - Establish and improve best data science and engineering practices for the team - Maintain a healthy balance between delivery and applied research The Successful Applicant : As the successful candidate for this role, you should have : - In-depth understanding of modern machine learning techniques and their mathematical underpinnings. - 8+ years of experience in applying machine learning and statistical methods to solve complex problems at scale - 4+ years of experience in leading/managing data/ml scientists - Experience with big data technologies - Built recommender systems What's On Offer : Opportunity to lead the Data Science initiatives with a fast growing NBFC, high Visibility and Stakeholder management
