Head - Data Science - FinTech Domain Startup (8-12 yrs)
We are well funded Startup company in FinTech Domain. At this point, we are looking for expert Data Science professional who can help in building, setting up & maintaining Data Science practice.
Position : Head of Data Science
Location : Bangalore
Experience : 8 To 12 Yrs
Compensation : 50 to 70 L.p.a
Education : Any Graduate / Post Graduate (Premier Institute) or PhD in CS or Math, Machine Learning, Statistics or in a highly quantitative field. (PhD strongly preferred).
As the Head of Data Science, Business Intelligence & Analytics you will
- Work with CXOs to define the roadmap and vision for Data Science
- Work with Data Engineering to build a robust data platform
- Work with Business Teams on analytical models, recommendation systems, forecasting models and develop plans to run experiments and productize new features.
- Work with Finance/ Operations Teams to build meta-scores that can be used by operations and business teams.
- Work with marketplace team on associate behavior profiling and listing analytics
- Together with your team, own Business Intelligence and Analytics
Basic Qualifications
- Any Graduate / Post Graduate (Premier Institute)
- Ability to convert business problems into data science projects
- Comfortable with Supervised, Unsupervised and Data Mining techniques.
- Strong knowledge of techniques for Regularization, Dimensionality Reduction and Pattern Matching / Anomaly Detection
- Experience in using SPSS, R, Octave, Matlab, Python or any other statistical software
- Experience in mentoring junior team members
- Strong communication, data visualization and presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD in CS or Math, Machine Learning, Operational research, Statistics or in a highly quantitative field. (PhD strongly preferred).
- 5+ years of industrial experience in predictive modelling and analysis
- Good skills with Java or C++, Perl/Python (or similar scripting language)
- Experience handling gigabyte and terabyte size data sets
- Experience working with retail or e-commerce data
- Experience working with distributed systems and grid computing
- Publications or presentation in recognized Machine Learning and Data Mining journals/conferences
