Head - Data Analytics - Infra

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE :

Leading the Analytics team in the organization which in turn reports to the COO of the Business. The role of the Analytics team is to build the analytics platform for the Business, working closely with the technology executives (CIOs and CTOs) of the concerned business units. CRITICAL ACCOUNTABILITIES & KEY EXPECTATIONS

- Establish the Analytics Technology Platform

- Execute analytics projects for the various businesses

- Build internal capability in analytics across the businesses - Build strong analytics team with strong capabilities in statistical analysis, Big Data and Machine Learning

- Continuously identify and pilot potential opportunities to improve internal operations through analytics

- Be a thought partner to Business CEOs and CIOs in order to better understand their businesses by leveraging data

- Develop thought leadership in the industry through active engagement in the external market, both domestically and internationally

- Be an evangelist for analytical decision making within the business

- Identify problems & provide data based options to solve the issue ROLEHOLDER REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:

- Post-graduation in Business Administration from a reputed Global or Indian institute

- Bachelors in Engineering from a reputed university

Experience:

- Experience 15 + years in top Tier Consulting firms specialising in deploying analytics solutions in Energy,

- Infrastructure and/or Finance sectors

- Experience with a range of analytical technologies including SAS, proprietary Machine Learning tools (e.g. Tensor Flow, Splunk) and open source options (e.g. R, Python and Hadoop)

- Experience in working with start-up companies around the world that develop cutting edge technologies

- Proven track record in deploying these cutting-edge analytics technologies in an industrial setting

- Background in technology sector and/or companies with deep understanding of latest trends and ongoing developments in the sector

Competencies:

- Experience in navigating large and complex organizations, including gaining access to key executives and stakeholders and successfully managing relationships

- Extensive background in analytics including Machine Learning, Statistics, and Big Data

- Ability to identify and evaluate data analytics opportunities for various business from a strategic and business value perspective

- Passion for data driven decision making and analytical thinking

- Proven track record of managing through the life cycle of a data analytics project in an industrial setting

- Strong Leadership skills - Potential to be a future business executive

- Excellent communication and presentation skills to be able to inspire confidence in both internal and external stakeholders
