Company is entering into lending line of business with existing huge database thereby helping individual to get loans with ticket size between 50,000 INR to 5,00,000 INR.
Job Description
- Strategic role, to set the company direction for the next 5-7 years.
- Responsible for designing and building the risk and underwriting infrastructure for the most innovative consumer-lending platform in India
- Creation of the risk and underwriting policies, infrastructure, development and deployment of underwriting models, risk decision strategies and fraud detection
- Work closely with Sr. Management team and lending partners in managing Risk/Return of the portfolio, defaults & collections
- Represent the company to the outside world, including lending partners, board of directors & other strategic alliances
- Managing the overall risk metrics for the organization. Ensuring that the portfolio health is maintained within accepted risk parameters.
Must-have:
- Help guide management to see a global view of credit risk and provide a regular month view of portfolio health view.
- Deep knowledge of scorecards, credit policies and risk management in an unsecured context
- Provide regular review and analysis of portfolio trends to detect deterioration in portfolio quality and suggest corrective actions
- Passion for using data and algorithm to drive underwriting decisions
- Extreme comfort with technology and working with engineers
- Ensure risk and return objectives are clearly understood and align with stakeholders to create a profitable franchise
- MBA/CA (first attempt) or IIT from Tier 1 Institute with at least 8+ years of experience in a retail bank or retail NBFC, Indian or foreign
Nice-to-have:
- Knowledge of Data Science & Machine Learning
- Excellent written & Verbal communication skills
- Experience working in a startup, preferably a Fin-tech startup
- Ability to influence and drive stake-holders
