Head - Corporate Development - Internet/Online (10-15 yrs)

Role:

We are looking for an experienced head of corporate development to join to lead the planning, development and execution of all investor relations, lender relations, regulator relations and finance activities for us. Folks with 8+ yrs of investing and/or investment banking experience with familiarity with fundraising would be a good fit.

We are focused on building a Revenue Based Financing (RBF) marketplace by providing growth capital to loved online consumer brands and D2C brands. We have successfully made 125+ investments brands across sectors like fashion, beauty & personal care, FMCG, ed-tech, F&B, and subscription businesses since August 2020. RBF takes a revenue share as returns instead of equity dilution or fixed EMIs, making it ideal for a post-Covid financing ecosystem. This is flexible and revolutionary, and we are looking for enthusiastic and talented folks to help us democratise access to financing for all companies!

Responsibilities:

- Build, own and manage relations with both current and potential investors; Help lead future fundraise processes including investor messaging, positioning, financial modelling and all similar materials; Leading the preparation of materials/discussion notes for existing investors, including key messaging of financial results, progress toward strategic goals and applicable forward guidance;

- Build and manage relations with domestic and foreign lenders; Oversee debt structuring and fundraising processes for us.

- Research relevant local fintech ecosystems and contribute to our international expansion strategy

- Lead regulatory and financial flow setup for global expansion by liaising with local finance ecosystems and regulators

- Own the finance function with reporting responsibilities for relevant finance/accounting teams

- Responsibility for leadership and talent management, payroll, ESOP implementation, comp & benefits strategy and other similar functions as a finance function leader

Requirements

- 8+ years of work experience in corporate development, venture capital/private equity, or investment banking

- Experience in fast-growing environments preferred

- Relationships with the wider investing community - Venture capital/growth investors / private equity preferred

- Excellent valuation/analytical skills, creativity in problem-solving, and a keen business sense

- Ability to both lead and support is important - an individual must be able to lead a team, coordinate a project or drive analysis

- Direct experience owning and managing relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders in driving the Investment process

- Superior communication (written/verbal), presentation and meeting facilitation skills

- Self-motivated and willing to proactively take on leadership roles within the company at large

- Proven ability to learn quickly and work well under pressure with appropriate attention to detail
