Job Title: Head, Corporate Communications Reports To: Global CEO Based at: Mumbai Job Description: - Our client is seeking a senior communications leader to build brand awareness, holistic communications, and employee engagement program. The role will be responsible for initiating, maintaining, and managing branding, communications, media relations, and helping businesses tell its story through impactful content. - To independently manage strategic requirements of all the 3 entities and create differentiated communication buckets for each. Responsibilities: Communications Strategy and operations: - Build, oversee the development and execution of an integrated and balanced communication strategy that drives awareness of the organization and its founders as well as supports the Groups' corporate, brand, commercial and development strategic priorities. - Own business processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness within the communications department. - A digital native who understands the social media landscape in India - Ability to lead and nurture a young team with focused approach and alignment with the end goals. - To be able to manage multiple agencies / external partners with extreme clarity of thought and brief. - Evaluate, objectively, the communication recommendations made by such partners and move it to a logical end. Strategic counsel and leadership: - Provide strategic communications counsel to founders. - Build, manage, engage, and motivate a high-performing team of expert communicators, encompassing mentorship, professional development of directs and effective delegation. - Provide key insights and perspectives that inform business strategy and decision making. - Founder branding, positioning, and communications. - Oversee branding, positioning, and communications programs for our Founders with bold and authentic narratives as well as internal and external engagement programs. Narrative and key message development: - Build organizations narrative and story in a way that resonates with target audiences which promotes brand love across a broad set of audiences. - Help create and manage new channels of communication with the company's audiences, being more creative with the content being produced (includes video format) and enabling stronger engagement with target audiences. Employee communications and engagement: - Partner with HR to develop a compelling employee communications and engagement narrative which aligns with the Founder's priorities. Budgets: - Build the department's annual budget and responsible for the review of activities and expenses throughout the fiscal year to ensure optimal financial results. - Accountable for return on invested capital and time resources Candidate profile: Qualification: - Master's degree in communication (or an equivalent degree) from a reputed institution in India or abroad Experience: - Minimum 15-18 years of in in-house and agency communications roles Capabilities: - Demonstrated experience creating and executing communications campaigns. - Excellent understanding of what makes a compelling, communications strategy that is brand consistent and supports the company's objectives. - Established direct relationships with media. - Exposure to managing key stakeholder relationships. - Excellent leadership skill and experience in working across different sectors and bring together diverse people to deliver on a strategy. - Impeccable critical thinking and no ego - we are a dynamic team, and everyone pitches in to get the job done. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while multitasking and re-prioritizing projects. - Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
