Head Corporate Affairs

Job Description :

- Developing and implementing appropriate Corporate Affairs strategies, programmes, and policies for all stakeholders to achieve positive image & brand.

- Develop and maintain effective networks, enhancing relationships with key stakeholders.

- Prepare business plans, reports, documents and collateral as required

- Ensure that resource management and financial planning are at the heart of strategic decision making so that resources are aligned to priorities and supports the long term financial sustainability of the Company.

- Take editorial responsibility for the organizations website including fact sheets, annual reports and newsletters, oversee regular updates of relevant content and other corporate communications tools;

- Develop and execute comprehensive organizational internal and external communications strategy to facilitate achievement of defined company objectives.

- Ensure corporate compliance processes and organisational assessments are carried out in a timely manner.

- Establish effective media relationships and act as media liaison for the organisation

- Develop risk management framework, manage reputation, identifying and mitigating issues that may concern the company in advance.

- Maintain a sound and current understanding of government processes and act as a point of contact for key government or community representatives.

- Ensure the effective implantation and compliance with legislative requirements and policy, including timely and accurate advice to the Corporate Management.

- Preparing, managing and monitoring the Corporate Affair department's budgets.

- Managing and implementing change initiatives to achieve desired business plans and culture.

Experience/Qualification :

- Professional with an experience of 8 to 15 years of working in Corporate Affairs function, working in a culturally diverse setting, with a demonstrated knowledge of communication principles.

- Master's degree in Communication, Marketing, business, social science or related fields or MBA.

- Demonstrated initiative in implementing awareness and communication tools for internal and external stakeholders.

- Experience in mining /manufacturing / Cement/Power company may be preferred.

- Excellent analytical and writing skill with commercial acumen.

- High level of confidentiality.

- Exceptional interpersonal & communication skills; Candidates with knowledge of French shall be preferred.

- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office products.
