Head - Contract Manufacturing - FMCG

We are looking to hire the Head of Contract Manufacturing for India. This role is the key interface between the business and the 3rd party manufacturing partners, ensuring not only successful supply of existing projects but also looking to external partners to support the businesses innovation journey.

The most successful candidate is the one who understands manufacturing from an operational perspective so the ideal candidate would be :

- Someone with manufacturing leadership experience- site based leadership ideally from FMCG or a co-manufacturer

- Coming from a technical background but having a strong commercial mindset, understanding the measures required to manage these contracts

- Having an understanding of the supplier network in either food or FMCG would be ideal

- A continuous improvement mindset- always open to new suppliers, new ways of working and opportunities to enhance the existing agreements

Lead all operational aspects for Contract manufacturing sites, including compliance, QA procedures, product formulas and specifications, and adherence to the Supply Plan.

- Develop an enterprise-wide operating strategy for Contract Manufacturers, including detailed workflows, transparent demand forecasts, the development and maintenance of contract agreements and the establishment of an efficient sourcing pipeline.

- Work closely with Stake holders that include Supply Chain Operations, Procurement, Finance, Sales and other teams.

- Identify outside manufacturers that is capable of producing required products consistent with established quality and regulatory requirements and within established cost parameters.

- Negotiate contracts that provide the overall best value to the company and establishes key performance indicators for each external manufacturer to drive continuous improvement and reduction in total delivered cost.

- 8+ to 12+ plus years of technical or manufacturing experience in CPG product, process or packaging development and/or commercialization required.

- A proven techno-commercial mindset, with a track record of managing the technical aspects of contract manufacturing relationships while understanding how the contract manufacturer supports the broader, commercial aspect of the business.

- Third Party Manufacturing and/or Procurement experience.

- Organized and able to establish work processes and streamline activities.
