Head - CDMO Biologics

Our client, a highly regarded multinational pharmaceutical company with a presence in several countries, is setting up CDMO - Biologics units through their innovative CDMO subsidiary.

Job Summary:

- Offer strategic guidance and visionary leadership to the CDMO Biologics unit, encompassing diverse aspects of business operations, service provision, and science, while promoting a sustainable operating model.

- Accomplish both immediate and long-term business objectives through strategic actions.

- Ensure the smooth running of operations to guarantee customer satisfaction and uninterrupted business operations, while maintaining the highest levels of safety.

Job Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain key customer relationships to support CDMO Biologics' growth

- Drive profitability by identifying the biologics business portfolio and expanding through organic/inorganic means, while managing investments in line with the entity's business targets.

- Provide leadership and advice to the scientific delivery, finance, marketing, and BD teams, and review business projections, delivery metrics, and initiatives to ensure the successful delivery of business plans.

- Ensure project delivery as per plan and QA norms.

- Provide technical guidance and lead project reviews.

- Lead CFTs during customer reviews for customer satisfaction.

- Ensure and regularly review compliance with all statutory, legal, environmental, licensing, regulatory, and safety norms and fulfill commitments to regulatory agencies, customers, and quality management.

- Foster accountability and responsibility for performance and desired behaviors through mentorship, coaching, and leadership development across all levels.

Ideal Candidate:

- Ph.D or Postdoctoral degree in Biotechnology/Life Sciences.

- 15+ years of experience, including 5 to 8 years in a leadership role managing large teams.

- Strong understanding of CDMO/Biology outsourcing services business, dynamics, and market.

- Experience in IND enabling studies and expertise in integrated drug discovery.

- Knowledge of biologics, process optimization, NCE development, basic chemical engineering, and analytical R&D.

- Familiarity with cGMP and ICH guidelines.
