Head - Commercial for a large manufacturing plant in Gandhidham

Company Profile: Our client is a large, leading Indian Manufacturing organisation - Leaders in their field. Their products have a variety of end users in India and abroad. Our clients are looking for a Head-Commercial to be based at Gandhidham (Gujarat) and reporting to the Head-Works. The plant has a total headcount exceeding 1000# and is ISO certified. We have the following vacancy:

Head-Plant Commercial: Will be part of the Plant Leadership Team. Will lead a team and head the entire commercial & SCM function including Procurement, Vendor Development, Logistics (Inbound & Outbound Materials), Demand Planning, Warehousing, Transport, Taxation (including GST)

Job Profile: 

- Will be responsible to head & handle the entire commercial functions at plant including Accounts, Audit, Budget, MIS, Costing, Commercial taxes, Income tax, Service Tax, Excise & Customs, Raw Materials, Stores, Purchase, Despatch, Logistics etc.

- Will monitor all purchases of plant including engineering spares, packing & other consumables with purchase in-charge.

- Will be responsible for all statutory compliance under various laws of Commercial Taxes, Excise & Customs,Income tax, labour and all other laws/ rules applicable to Unit. Shall also be responsible to deal with legal attorneys as & when required.

- Will handle Insurance of plant's man, machinery and their claims recovery for losses/ damages.

- Keep cost centers under control and get desired yield from operations.

Candidate Profile: CAs with 18 - 25 years experience of heading & handling the entire commercial operations/ functions of a medium size manufacturing unit. 

- Must posses sound knowledge & experience of direct/ Indirect taxation and litigation under that including assessments, replies of notices, filing of cases, appeals etc. 

- Must have indepth experience of inventory management, analysis of raw material, W.I.P and will be responsible for timely material balancing between input raw material & out put ( Finish Good & despatch) in strict manner. 

- Should have good negotiation skills and indepth experience of transportation, Freight Contracts, their up & down and controlling factors etc. 

- Should have good liaison skills. Will be responsible to dealing with all Govt. authorities including commercial as well as labour and administrative authorities.

- Must be well versed with different accounting software like SAP, ERP & other web base. Should have good knowledge of SAP modules like FICO, SD, MM & PP Operations.
