Head - Central Procurement - Real Estate/Infrastructure (18-25 yrs)
Role Objective :
Your role as - Head - Central Procurement- is to define and drive the procurement strategy for the Group. You will lead a team of Package Heads and collaborate with Business CEOs/ Project Directors/ Functional Heads to drive the SCM process in line with their business objectives. You will have an overall team of 50+ associates.
You will have complete ownership of all activities from initial need identification to final material and service delivery including sourcing effort, contract negotiation, operations and planning, logistics and material management.
Key focus areas for you in this role are driving the Centre of Excellence through process streamlining and transformation, cost optimization, compliance and adoption of best practices. As a leader, you will also be responsible for managing your function in line with the people strategy
Key Responsibilities :
- Procurement Function as a CoE :
a. Drive the procurement and SCM strategy for all packages across the business
b. Ongoing value creation by building a strong supplier base
c. Drive profitability and efficiency through the value chain
d. Identification and realization of cost-optimization opportunities
- Contracting and Compliance :
a. Selection and management of procurement systems and technologies
b. Oversee negotiation and contract terms with key suppliers to ensure value, quality standards and delivery terms
c. Adhere to set policies while partnering with external suppliers
d. Adhere to the set evaluation processes to measure quality, supplier performance and compliance
- Culture of Continuous Improvement :
a. Own the innovation, automation and change management for the procurement and SCM function
b. Adoption of best-practice based processes towards operational excellence
c. Help transform the procurement approach and value chain in line with the company's objectives
- People Leadership :
a. Focus on developing a strong team with the required skill sets
b. Lead, manage, reward and motivate the team to work collaboratively and efficiently towards set goals
c. Enable relevant change efforts across the company as a key stakeholder
d. Actively establish a professional work environment in alignment to the company's culture, values and principles
Knowledge and Skills : Negotiation skills for large contracts, Focus on details and quality, Self-motivated, Critical thinking and Problem solving, Commercial Awareness, Knowledge of Construction operations
Qualification : Post Graduate in Supply Chain Management/ Engineering/ Construction Management from reputed institutes.
Practice and Other Requirements : 20+ years- experience with supply chain management capability and a proven track record of delivering savings through value spends
