Our client is looking for a Head of Business Finance. The person will be working for a well-funded EdTech firm, founded in 2011 by IITians, which is primarily interactive online tutoring platform where teachers provide school tuitions to students over the internet, using a real-time virtual learning environment that is a technology built in-house. It operates on a marketplace model for teachers, where students can browse, discover and choose to learn from an online tutor of their choice.

Responsibilities :

- Manage the team of Business Finance Managers

- Coordinate with functional stakeholders to develop the monthly & quarterly plans in sync with AOP, with rigor on bottoms-up approach

- Review the plans vs actuals on a regular basis; in-depth analysis of variance and communicating the same proactively creating right visibility and enabling planning of actionable

- Do scenario analysis and develop business plans on product enhancement or business initiatives; present top management with analysis

- Closely monitor the costs of the function and ensure ROI is being delivered

- Handle Adhoc requests and problem-solving with short turnaround time and supplement such requests with appropriate analysis and comments to support decision making

- Enabling the teams in achieving their deliverables through cross-functional coordination and partnering with other business finance managers

- Continuous tracking of key financials and business metrics, accurate reporting and circulating the same to relevant stakeholders at requisite time intervals

- Develop a deep understanding of business drivers and leverage that to create views for creating actionable plans

- Prepare financial information & analysis for business reviews/presentations with key highlights

- Participate & Drive standardization automation projects for process efficiency

- Assess competition information to benchmark efficiency & productivity

Must-Have Skills :

- Chartered Accountant or Post-Graduate from a tier 1/ tier 2 University or business school. Should hold a degree in finance

- Experience in leading a Business Finance vertical of at least 3 - 4 years, overall experience 10+ years

- Start-up experience of at least 3 years in recent times

- Strong analytical rigor and problem-solving skills

- Strong communication & Interpersonal skills

- Proficient in MS Office

- Proactive takes initiative, self-motivated

- Leadership skills
