JOB DESCRIPTION - HEAD BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Basic details :

Business Development Head (DGM/GENERAL MANAGER)
Function - Mega projects
Department/Sub-function/Section : Business Development
Designation of person to whom this position reports(Reporting Manager)
Vice President - Mega Project
Job Purpose (Summary / One - line description)
- Formulating Business Development Strategy for Region
- Continues Building up New Customer base
- Ensure repeat business from Existing Customer
- Ensure smooth transition of prospective customer into business
- Ensure maximum profit & return on the invested capital
Key Performance Indicators :
- Addition of new customers/ Projects
- Revenue Generation
- Delivering outstanding Client Experience
- Return on Capital Employed
Task & Responsibilities:
Business Development Strategy:
- Research & Study new industry trends, competitors action plans & existing market trends, Government Development Plan
- Developing and aligning existing Business Development Strategy
- Identify prospective Business deals by contacting potential partners, Government officials, contractors etc.
- Evaluating business deal by analyzing potential risk, financials, contractual terms and conditions, profit margin, cost etc
- Negotiating and closure of deal in line with company standards
Customer Relationship Building:
- Ensure product dispatches on agreed timeline, Quality and Quantity
- Check on product requirement modification if any
- Obtain feedback on service, quality of product on regular intervals Other
- Facilitate the collection of payment in case of delay in payment and major outstanding from customer
- Communicate to internal operation team in case of any product requirement alteration or modification
- Communicate to internal operation team in case any critical feedback from customer
Qualifications:
a. Essential Academic/Educational Qualifications : Degree (Civil)
b. Additional (desired) Academic/Educational Qualifications: MBA
Experience
a. Minimum period of relevant experience required (in years) - 18 - 25 years
b. Nature/ Type of Experience required : Business development, strategic planning, managerial role in sales
c. Industries where such experience can be acquired : Construction/Building Material/RMC
