Head - Business Analytics - FMCG/FMCD (15-25 yrs)
OBJECTIVE:
The company wants to establish and build up a robust Business Analytics Department In this role, the Head of Analytics ensures that the business in its various departments understands its own health, finds growth levers, and identifies opportunities for optimization. The Head of Analytics leads the business through all efforts that drive business performance and potential by using the existent and new data sources and techniques.
Major KRAs
- Provide business analytics leadership in driving meaningful business impacts
- Conduct segmentation and targeting analytics in order to optimize revenue performance and increase sales from
campaigns, as well as other portfolio optimization and retail support initiatives
- Provide analytics that facilitate appropriate marketing investment decisions
- Support the Business Development team with competitive analyses, strategy recommendations, and ad hoc support requests. Conduct strategic analysis to explore existing account growth opportunities to improve overall business performance
- Explore and evaluate new data sources and cutting edge analytic tools and techniques. Combine internal data with external research and third-party data sources to provide industry benchmarks and insights
- Lead team and ensure that a good working relationship is developed and maintained between the unit
- Responsible for coaching, developing, and empowering staff to achieve superior results all aspects of the job
- Regularly keeps direct reports informed of strategy and plans, units, and division's issues
- Transfers specific expertise to staff/people needing specialized information, through on the job training, presentations and meetings
Accountability/Scope/Complexity:
- Share accountability for operating budget
- Identifies business needs and provides efficient and cost-effective solutions while adhering to quality goals
- Interact with line/business managers
- Typically resolve issues with departmental impact independently
- Comply with all policies, legal/regulatory requirements in all Decision Management Processes
Qualifications :
- Experience in Data Analytics, having led significant product lines (FMCG, Consumer Durable etc) or large scale operations
- Extensive experience in management roles within well regarded, preferred global or regional consumer-focused companies characterized by complex business operating practices
- A leader with a proven record of his/her track records at a highly reputed organization
- The ideal candidate will have developed a strong analytics team and experience in digital
- Ideally significant P&L experience along with a track record of building businesses
- Proven expertise by managing the full complement of CRM, analytics/segmentation, campaign and digital
- Proven leadership and collaboration abilities and ability to operate effectively both locally and regionally
- Experience managing and building a high performing team and an ability to inspire others on the marketing and digital team as well as across the organization
