Roles & Responsibilities :
Category Management
- Contribute to development of overall budgets and plans for the P&L department by providing information and insight related to Bottle Procurement operations
- Determine the optimal strategy for sourcing for each category of packaging material (old and new bottles; cans, crowns and foils; corrugate, labels, glue, misc. packaging material) at an organizational level
- Determine if current supplier ecosystem/capacities can fulfill demand; If not, determine way forward for the balance requirement through imports, new supplier onboarding in the domestic market
- Lead team in preparing risk matrices for each category; Draw inferences and determine any course-corrections, as required
Contract Management
- Lead team in identifying suppliers for each category, oversee RFQ process and conduct bid evaluation (from a technical and commercial standpoint)
- Participate in negotiations with suppliers and determine L1/L2/L3
- Participate in finalization of technical requirements and commercials for each category
- Provide recommendation on final supplier to award contract to and submit to relevant stakeholders for final approval
- Partner with legal team and suppliers to execute contract formalities
- Drive inclusion of terms and conditions in contracts to promote and protect interests
- Conduct periodic review of the execution of contracts based on actual achievement; Identify gaps and lead issue resolution, as required
- Lead team in driving timely updation of contract terms in SAP
Compliances & Internal Reporting
- Drive adherence to laid down SOPs for bottle procurement related activities
- Develop terms and conditions for contracts with external ecosystem (suppliers, vendors, agents etc.), promoting and protect interests
- Lead team in building supplier awareness on SOPs, compliances, buyer's code and guidelines
- Guide team to provide required financial reporting for each category
Stakeholder Management
- Partner with P&L team, brewery heads and cluster heads to drive robust planning and effective conflict resolution, as required
- Build, sustain and leverage relationships with vendors/suppliers to protect and promote company's interests
