Job Description :

A. Raw Pressery is looking for a experienced Head of Technology to join team. The role has three broad sets of responsibilities 


(a) Oversee the roadmap of features and functionality in the SAP B1 system that the company uses 


(b) Set up capabilities to bring inhouse product and platform development 


(c) Set up the architecture and platform for big data / analytics for the company comprising production data, sales and distribution data, product / SKU data that enables analytics and visualization 


(d) Explore other tech and tools that may be required as the company scales its production, sales, marketing and other functions such as web analytics, web site development, app development, marketing tools etc

B. Oversee the SAP B1 roadmap: The core processes of the company from procurement, production, product shipments, order to cash are all managed through the SAP B1. 


- Overseeing the roadmap of the SAP B1 in terms of implementing future modules, institutionalizing processes for greater compliance with SAP processes within the company. 


- Manage the outsourced vendor and evaluate options of bringing that in house to increase speed of execution of the roadmap. 


- Critical to the role is to build a clear roadmap, communicate it clearly to all stakeholders of timelines involved in delivering to the roadmap and overseeing the implementation strictly to the timelines committed to the teams.

C. Build product / platform development capabilities within the company : 


- The candidate needs to be a full stack developer / architect with experience of building systems at scale. Critical priority is to bring in-house the SAP B1 platform roadmap from the outsourced vendor to get execution speed.


- There needs to be continued focus on automating key areas of operations in the business - from sales planning to logistics to product planning to production. 


- To build key extensions to SAP B1 or bring best in breed software to enable automation. Create linkages between key software packages that are used in the business already like field assist, HR management software, crm software, SAP systems through smartly designed APIs and interfaces that give integrity to data across all systems and gives speed of decision making.

D. Set up the data architecture / Big data for the company : 


- The operations of the company are highly measurable and generate millions of data points every month ranging from procurement, production, sales, distribution, product portfolio, receivables, customer data. 


- The data set is both static and dynamic. While the transaction data is all within SAP, clear repositories of marketing data, static data, marketing intelligence data needs to be clearly set up. 


- The data architecture should be such that the data can be leveraged for analytics. The candidate should be able to bring in skill sets on Big data, leveraging platforms such as AWS (Redshift), visualization platforms that enable us to do develop real time dashboards for the management. This is the most crucial role for this position.

E. Tech tools and innovation: Being a consumer business with a massive reach with significant investments in marketing, sales, digital channels, setting up of direct to consumer businesses - there will be ongoing demands on leveraging best in breed tools and platforms to help manage processes that are not covered by SAP workflows. Ability to choose the right tools, integrate them well with the overall tech architecture of the company will be critical.

F. Having a good commercial mindset : 


- While we expect the tech leader to be a SME in above areas, having a tech leader who is also commercially aware that enables the company to prioritise on the work to be done and execute it smartly so that we get speed of execution and is fit for business. 


- Awareness of how the data architecture will directly impact the top line and bottom line of the business will be a huge added positive in the candidate.

Requirements :

- Engineer / Technical architect / full stack developer - with minimum 10 years in tech leadership roles

- Strong road map definition and architecting experience

- SAP B1 experience is great. If no SAP B1 experience, demonstrated ability to learn new language or new platforms in prior roles is critical.

- Experience in overseeing a range of tech vendors, hosting partners, AWS environment, managed hosting, negotiating on the rates and setting up the infra required for the business. 


- Experience in evaluating third party tools, SAAS platforms, negotiating and integrating the system is critical

- Ability to build end to end tech teams that are highly competent and with high caliber is critical

- Ability to collaborate across business units - from CEO / CFO / CSO / COO and delivering to the business priorities. Very strong communication skills.

- Inquisitive and self learner
