We are looking to hire a head of artificial intelligence unit based in Hyderabad and would prefer immediate/early joiners. Role Objectives : - Strategic role to build foundations of a state-wide robust AI&nbsp;ecosystem. Need a self-starter with end-to-end responsibility of delivering high&nbsp;impact initiatives, leveraging a network of industry, academia and&nbsp;government stakeholders. Maintain AI thought leadership of Telangana Basic Function/ Job Responsibilities : Strategic : - Define strategy and road map by leveraging the AI Framework&nbsp;to achieve maximum impact for innovators, user enterprises and&nbsp;government - Adopt a - String of Pearls- approach across stakeholders of Start-ups, Technology Companies, Enterprises, Academia &amp; Government to&nbsp;catalyze and build a powerful AI ecosystem - Lead efforts to develop DS &amp; AI policies for state in consultation with&nbsp;stakeholders - Explores alliances with international organizations &amp; bodies to&nbsp;enhance the capabilities of DS &amp; AI in the state&nbsp;AI in Action - Implement vision and execute strategy, build and manage&nbsp;team to deliver the agreed deliverables as provided in the MoA - Responsible for accelerating adoption of Artificial Intelligence by&nbsp;Core Industries and by Government Departments. Inculcate - Open&nbsp;Innovation- by partnering with Start-ups - Champion the cause of creating datasets for Grand challenges by&nbsp;the state government - Develop and execute skilling &amp; talent programs to create the talent&nbsp;pipeline and fuel growth of AI Financial Management : - Raise / Generate funds from Government &amp; industry partners to grow towards a self-sustaining basis in the medium - long term Other Responsibilities : - Manage relationship with external agencies, partners, and government as appropriate to enable smooth operations and profitable growth, - Defines &amp; manage positioning both externally and internally; responds to a wide variety of questions and comments - Continually enhance own skills and builds knowledge in all aspects of the organization, the business and information system&nbsp; Knowledge,&nbsp;Qualifications and Experience : - Management degree (MBA - Strategy / Systems/ Marketing/ General) with excellent understanding of deep-tech - 10+ Years of overall experience of which at least 2 years in&nbsp;developing an ecosystem integrating various stakeholders including&nbsp;industry, academia, and government - Good understanding of start - up and DS&amp; AI ecosystem - Must include that the candidate must have held leadership positions&nbsp;in the past - Appreciation of deep technology areas like Data Science, AI and&nbsp;associated products Key competencies : - Talent Management process (recruitment/selection, performance&nbsp;management, coaching, reward/ recognition) - Stakeholder Management - Program Execution - Communication - Change Management - Consultative Approach - Dealing with Ambiguity
