Provide creative vision and direction to Application Engineering department of the unit (comprising of standard machines, customized machines and documentation) and to manage the delivery of Designs of Company Product to suit the customer's requirement. - Strong CAD and CAE skills and ability to carry out complex engineering calculations - 15 plus years of experience in designing SPMs/CNC /Packaging machines - Product and Technology Awareness - Strategic thinking & direction to users - Resource Alignment with Business - Customer orientation - Change Management - Creative Thinking and Collaboration Responsibilities : - Managing the team and it's deliverables for designing machines as per Customer specifications and needs - Releasing design drawings of special custom built attachments / fixtures / modifications onto the range of Blister / Cartoning / End of line machines / Allied machines. - Managing multiple task / projects with the help of existing work-force. - Prioritizing the design functions and delegate to fasten the activities. - Advising on Issuance of BOM and Manufacturing Drawing - Maintaining the documents & records systematically, pertaining to machine drawings and maintaining complete secrecy of projects handled. - Removing deficiency in design and have corrective measure developed. - Ensuring effectiveness of application engineering function with First time right & on time delivery (FTR & OTD). - Customer focus - understanding and resolving issues internally and externally as well. - Seeking Product improvement from customers (both internal and external) and implementing at design end to increase customer satisfaction. - Interaction with various departments for fulfilling design requirements as per the customers demand. - Ensuring application of new technology such as 3D, 2D software systems and analytical tools, PDM, simulation software to improve Product Standards. - Providing support to the team members and cross functional team members on technical aspects.
