Head - Application Development & Cloud Enablement

Position Purpose :

This position is accountable for strategy, delivery and operations of Enterprise Mobility Solutions, Enterprise Application integration, Cloud Enablement, Common Apps, and Test Engineering and Governance. The organisation Application Cloud Enablement Services Lead will ensure they have the software development capability required to deliver innovative and differentiating solutions with the speed and agility required by their business partners.

This position will be accountable for the overall organisation Application Cloud Enablement Services budget oversight/roll-up across the organisation Centers. This position will be the IT Delivery Sponsor for all organisation initiatives in the Application Cloud Enablement Services portfolio. This position will be responsible for setting and executing the strategic vision of the organisation Application Cloud Enablement Services team. Ensuring the organisation Application Cloud Enablement Services team is delivering on its promises to the business, and creating a high performing environment across Organisation and partners.

Key Accountabilities :

- Visionary leader to drive software development for Organisation

- Engaged leader and recruiter of talent and high performing team

- Owner of the organisation portfolio/service strategy for software development solutions.

- Delivery oversight of program/project delivery and operations for the software development capability and developed solutions.

- Budget oversight for organisation Application Cloud Enablement portfolio across all organisation centers

- Guides innovation/transformation and continuous improvement efforts in the software development space.

- Delivers against key business and operational SLA- s/KPI's across the delivery ecosystem.

Manages key vendor relationships for both software and services partners.

- Drives appropriate standardization and uniqueness across the portfolio.

- Chief evangelist internal/external for technical delivery to bring new ideas, collaboration and benchmarks to improve what and how we perform.

- Manage Delivery Strategy and Execution for organisation Technical Services Portfolio

- Drive the strategy for software development tools and processes in light of Organisation's software development needs.

- Business Results, Metrics, Scorecards and Reporting

Desired Profile of the Candidate :

- B.E/B.Tech

- MBA from a top tier university

- 15+ years managing in technology design and development teams or operational support environments

- 10+ years of people management and leadership

- 10+ years of experience in cloud enablement, middleware, software architecture and engineering

- Experience with Product delivery model, Agile delivery, and Dev Ops

- Demonstrated experience managing complex, scalable, and global development environments and offshore/managed delivery models across multiple process areas

- Demonstrated experience owning and negotiating SLA- s/OLA- s

- Demonstrated experience managing cost/quality/schedule controls

- Demonstrated experience in multiple areas of solution design and build (e.g. Standards, Patterns, Architectures, etc.)

- Experience managing for ITIL processes

- Demonstrated leadership skills; ability to lead large diverse and distributed teams

- Experience with risk management, controls, and security

- Experience interacting effectively and appropriately using technical and non-technical communication with various levels of the organization including internal and external partners, management, and business/function partners

- Ability to work in a matrix across multiple groups and geographies, leveraging 3rd party or manage services, to solve operations problems and avoid continuity risk

- Experience working with service providers including contract management, governance, and operational management

- Experience in leading and managing middleware technologies.

- Business fluency in English

- Ability to travel up to 20%
