Head - Analytics

Responsibilities

- Leading the Business Analytics practice for Gruppo Banca Sella: Integrate with the current analytics activities, define-design-manage the growth of the practice to next maturity levels

- Drive and Own Analytics Technology: Closely integrate and operate with Data Management Specialists team, acting as a primary stakeholder for the Analytics IT infrastructure

- Deliver Analytics Solutions: With a core team of Data Analysts, understand business goals and onboard business cases to create advantage and positive impact by analytics and deliver full functional solutions ranging from insights, visualizations right up through predictive modeling and statistical learning

- Drive efficiency in the overall implementation of these solutions with the goal to yield business advantage across business areas at significantly lower time-to-market with successive iterations (higher maturity level)

- Provide guidance to local/international teams for integrating and responding to Analytics requirements across IT areas

- Manage legacy sunset and evolution of Analytics platforms

Competency Requirements

- Proven experience managing Analytics/business intelligence team in a multi-channel environment required - preferable financial technology institutions/environment

- Deep technical understanding of data, data integration and data warehouse architectures honed through multiple end-to-end BI system implementations

- Solid understanding of practical data science including statistical modeling; machine learning is a huge plus

- Clear & effective communication skills: able to successfully articulate business value when speaking with business stakeholders, and to articulate technical risks and issues when speaking with key technology stakeholders; must exude confidence in both settings

- International experiences a strong plus

- Solid understanding of enterprise architectures and analytics product landscape

- Facilitation, discovery, analysis and prototyping skills

Professional Experience Expectations

- Minimum 14 years of professional experience in Information Techology and Management space

- Minimum 7 recent years in leading development and delivery of Business Intelligence - Analytics projects through direct interaction with senior business executives (any industry, FinTech is a plus)

- Track record of positive financial impact to business tied to delivered projects is a must

- Solid, hands-on practice with analytics platforms such as SAS (Data / Enterprise Miner), R

- Solid, hands-on practice with BI stacks - any one of IBM Cognos, Oracle or Microsoft BI

- Hands-on Experience with ETL and visualization tools

- Exposure to open-source Big Data technology a big plus: Hadoop, Spark

- Proven track record working in truly Fast and Agile environments
