Role Overview
A leading global consulting & professional services organization is seeking a Head of Accounting & Finance Managed Services Delivery to build and scale a world-class Finance Operations & FP&A managed services practice.
This is a mission-critical leadership role for a seasoned finance professional who can deliver high-accuracy global finance operations, develop advanced FP&A capabilities, lead multi-country transitions, and drive technology-enabled transformation across client portfolios.
Compensation will not be a constraint for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Leadership
- Develop and deliver FP&A services (budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, strategic planning).
- Build advanced financial models and scenario-planning frameworks.
- Establish executive dashboards and KPI reporting suites.
- Provide strategic financial insights to client leadership.
- Implement rolling forecasts and dynamic planning methodologies.
Transactional Finance Operations
- Lead end-to-end O2C (billing, invoicing, collections, dispute management).
- Manage AP including 3-way match, vendor management, and payments.
- Oversee multi-country payroll with regulatory compliance.
- Ensure 99.5%+ accuracy across all transactional processes.
Process Excellence & Technology
- Standardize finance processes across engagements.
- Build internal controls and compliance frameworks.
- Implement QA protocols and continuous improvement.
- Create scalable documentation and knowledge-management systems.
- Automation Libraries & Operational Efficiency
- Build automation libraries (RPA bots, AI reconciliation, ML anomaly detection).
- Develop reusable automation components for AP, O2C, JE automation, and close processes.
- Implement automation governance, testing, and monitoring.
- Build predictive analytics for cash flow, collections, and expenses.
Project Delivery & Transformation
- Lead finance & ERP transformation (SAP, Oracle, D365).
- Design multi-phase modernization roadmaps.
- Manage PMOs with risk, communication, and governance frameworks.
- Lead digital transformation (cloud, integrations, data warehouses).
- Deliver large-scale BPR initiatives.
Centers of Excellence (CoEs) & Service Delivery
- Build and operate CoEs for FP&A, O2C, AP, Payroll, Financial Reporting.
- Design scalable "assembly-line" service delivery models.
- Create cross-training and redundancy systems for continuity.
- Develop modular service delivery that scales with client needs.
Specialized Team Leadership
- Build and manage:
- Knowledge Transfer Teams
- Outsource Transition Teams
- Quality Assurance Teams
- Advanced Reporting & Analytics Teams
- Lead onboarding, knowledge capture, audits, regulatory reporting, and visual analytics.
Resilience & Business Continuity
- Build BCP frameworks with multi-site failover.
- Implement backup/recovery and real-time monitoring.
- Drive cross-training and succession planning.
Client Relationship & Delivery
- Create client-specific delivery models.
- Manage transitions and knowledge transfer.
- Ensure SLA adherence and compliance.
- Develop custom reporting and analytics.
- Drive account growth and client satisfaction.
Team Leadership & Development
- Build high-performing global teams.
- Implement technical + soft skills training.
- Run performance and career-development frameworks.
- Ensure multi-lingual and multicultural capabilities.
Education & Professional Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification required
- MBA or Master's in Finance preferred
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification preferred
- Additional certifications in financial systems, automation, or process improvement
Professional Experience:
- Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in finance operations and managed services
- Proven track record with Big 4 accounting firms or top-tier consulting organizations
- Extensive experience in FP&A, financial reporting, and strategic financial analysis
- Experience managing mission-critical payroll and billing operations for large organizations
- Strong background in ERP implementations and financial system integrations
- Experience with multi-country, multi-currency financial operations
- Demonstrated experience in building and operating Centers of Excellence
- Proven track record in managing large-scale outsourcing transitions and knowledge transfer programs
- Experience leading complex finance transformation and ERP implementation projects
- Background in automation development and deployment in finance operations
