HDFC Bank - Team Member - Indian & US GAAP - Finance - CA

Job Purpose

USGAAP related reporting and compliance requirements.

Job Responsibilities(JR) : 6 - 8 Areas Actionable (4-6)

- Preparation of various USGAAP workings of loan, DSA and fee amortization, Borrowings etc.

- Prepare USGAAP loan disclosures working consisting of flow rate data / PD LGD data submitted by risk teams, Segment wise / age wise / risk classification of the loan portfolio.

- Updation of DSA and Fee amortization schedules

- Process data to classify debt/borrowings long-term, short term, analyse, prepare accounting entries, prepare disclosure.

- Compilation of 20 F&F Pages - Compilation, validation of various disclosure requirements including tables, notes to accounts etc. as a part of annual (20 F) and semiannual (6K) documents filed with SEC.

- Assist in preparation of Banks financials as per USGAAP requirements.

- Assist in Implementation of new accounting updates / standards.

- Co-ordination with Auditors - Liaison and co-ordinate extensively with respective departments, Internal Auditors, Statutory Auditors, and resolve their queries.

- Address auditors information requirements in close co-ordination with functional teams.

- SOX and related compliance - Co-ordinate with consultants to ensure completion of SOX documentation for annual reporting process

- Managing the SOX compliance and completion of SOX documentation for half yearly reporting process.

- XBRL Compliance - Assist in preparation of XBRL tags for F pages under USGAAP.

- Validate the XBRL files with original document to ensure proper conversion identify gaps / errors.

- Other Adhoc - Supervision and Co-ordination of HDB Employee Welfare Trust viz. monitor the trusts record keeping, bank accounts, disbursals, investments, statutory payments, audit, reporting, etc.

- Prepare/ analyse/ reconcile/ compile/ validate/ Review documents related to public issue pertaining to capital fund raising through MTN/ADR/QIP

- Review / help in preparation of IGAAP disclosures, adhoc RBI requirements etc.

Educational Qualifications Key Skills

- Chartered Accountant.

- Knowledge of GAAP and regulation

- Planning and Organizing Skills

Experience Required

- Minimum experience in years - 3 yr

- Exposure to banking preferable-with specialization in accounting and GAAP knowledge

Major Stakeholders(intra team and cross functional stakeholders, who would need to be interacted with for discharging duties)

- Regulators -SEC, USA,

- US GAAP auditors

- USA Lawyers

- Consultants- SEC filers

- Internal reporting departments -SOX compliance
