PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The CPU Team Leader is responsible to  ensure that the team achieves the daily target within turnaround time and minimal errors. The Team Leader is also responsible to evolve a team which is equipped with adequate knowledge on Products and on applications. The Team Leader's objective is to keep the Unit Head informed of the Business trend, daily volumes and errors if any.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Description of Core/Primary Tasks/Responsibilities:

- Ensure that transactions are checked and processed well within the agreed turnaround time.

Primarily responsible for checking Bills under Letter of Credit, Export Loans, merchanting Trade, GR waiver and Miscellaneous Export Transactions.

- Ensure that the all discrepancies are raised in time to the branches and help them in resolving any query for the same.

- To do the necessary followup with branch / RM/ Treasury for timely reply/revert on rejected transactions.

- Ensure that any change in commission / rate is updated in the Trade Charges Utility for ready reference of the inputter. Ensure that processing errors are kept at negligible level.

- Ensure necessary approvals are filed and stored for easy access to team members.

- Team Leader has to ensure that the team is updated on latest Internal changes or additions in Processes, Latest regulatory guidelines so as to ensure that there is no regulatory violation by Bank, while processing the transaction.

- Ensure Call Back reports are run and checked on daily basis.

- Ensure that Nostro and Dealpro reconcilliation, Tallying of Branch suspense accounts,generation of payment tracers, Monitoring of Inward credit received in Nostro for export purposes etc are done on daily basis

- Ensure that daily and periodic activities like inward /outward swift messages, lodging Reimbursement claim, sending payment tracers, Advance received tracers, Drawer reminder etc. are done in time

- Ensure that regulatory returns viz. C form reporting, Fortnightly refinance reporting, Monthly reporting etc. are submitted in time.

- Ensure that resources are allocated adequately during absenteeism and keep the team motivated.

- Should be flexible to switch the role as Authoriser, Checker and/or inputter whenever needed.

- Ensure that resources are allocated adequately during absenteeism and keep the team motivated.

- Should attend all the training related to FEMA / product and onward sharing of the knowledge / skill so attained, with the team.

- To actively resolve the Audit queries and its effective resolution, thereby Ensuring that Unit gets a satisfactory rating in Internal Audits.

- To monitor Receivable and payable accounts on daily basis and ensure outstanding entries are knocked off in time

2. Strategic Review and actions:

- Frequent Customer / Business meetings to understand the requirements and cater to their needs in terms of TAT, MIS.

- Periodic meetings with Business teams and follow ups.

- Understand the needs of team in order to improve upon the efficiency and effectiveness, by way of improvising the Process or changes in Application

3. Secondary tasks/ Responsibilities:

- Ensure that team receives/attends internal trainings held on Product as well as soft skills.

- Liaise with internal service providers like BPRG, LSS, and Business Banking Ops to ensure that deliverables are given well within time.

- To ensure the effective que management and man management across the transaction levels viz. Checking, Inputting and Authoriser level.

4. Support Functions:

- To participate pro activelyin adhoc projects/ activities undertaken by the Unit eg.System migrations, Productivity analysis, Trade Meets, Blood Donations process improvements etc.

- To train the new joinees on Product, process, system etc. Also to train existing team members as per training needs of respective employees.

- To support Unit Heads in monitoring day to day transactions and periodic activities
