HCL Technologies - SAP Specialist - Hosting Propositions & Product Management

The Role :

- We are looking for a highly experienced SAP Hosting Propositions Specialist with a demonstrable track record in creating market leading SAP Propositions and spreading awareness amongst the Sales and Delivery teams. The propositions will include all areas associated with architecting, hosting and operating a "SAP on Cloud" model.

- Individuals must have proven experience in all facets of an ERP enabled transformation programme across multiple industry sectors, as well as performing a leadership role(s) which have included: business development, delivery management and practice development activities.

- An ability to understand the ever changing market as well as customer demand and create compelling SAP propositions that address them. Define and document the SAP propositions: Work with Product Marketing the positioning, messaging, competitive differentiation, and go-to-market strategy. Ensure senior management is aligned with these.

- Educate the Sales teams on the articulation. Create all collateral needed by the Sales teams to be able to articulate effectively. Create commonly needed re-useable content that can be leveraged for RFI's / RFP's.

- Ability to act in the capacity of a trainer for the annual bootcamp sessions, with proven thought leadership capabilities across SAP's solution suite, an understanding of SAP HANA and trends in technology enablement as well as integration with other applications.

- Ability to act in the capacity of a senior technologist, with proven thought leadership capabilities across SAP ERP solution suite, with a clear understanding of PaaS and SaaS offerings.

- Proven experience with understanding of public and private cloud solutions and designing solutions on cloud hosting platforms.

- Strong awareness of digital transformation ranging from applications modernisation, re-hosting solutions, conversion of applications from IaaS to PaaS to SaaS offerings with both COTS and bespoke applications. Focus on automating SAP landscapes leveraging the best of breed tools available.

- Define Proof of Concepts / Demos and engage the SAP development team to get them built.

- Strong ability to represent HCL in various customer and partner interactions

2. Essential skills and experience :

Suitable candidates must be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience :

- Architecting and defining complex and technical SAP solutions across multiple industry sectors,understanding of the technology enablement as well as integration with other applications.

- Experience of numerous SAP enabled business transformation programme lifecycles of which at least 3 of were gained in a solution architect or senior leadership role.

- Strong knowledge of SAP solution suite and technical architecture and ability to translate business challenges into ERP solutions.

- Prior leadership experience, preferably within a consulting environment. Experience must as a minimum include business development, solution definition, delivery management, capability demand planning, and practice / people development.

- Strong - consulting- and stakeholder management skills - demonstrable presentation and client facing consulting and influencing skills up until C suite levels. All candidates must be assertive and articulate with the ability to develop and sustain senior client relationships.

- Understanding of SAP's product strategy, including positioning of S/4 HANA and enabling tools and complementary technologies, especially the integration to other applications.

- Good knowledge of AWS and Azure public cloud offerings and architecting

- Ability to be highly mobile is required.

- Ability to develop compelling cost models and use cases

4. Position description :

- The position requires the Product Management Specialist to support the creation and dissemination of our key SAP propositions amongst the Sales teams and in the market, in pursuit of client opportunities.

- The position will be expected to assist the RFI / RFP response process by providing re-useable content.

- There will also be a need to articulate the propositions in word document or a ppt format and present the solution to clients and prospects.

- This position will also support the building of new products and solution offerings for customers

5. Certifications :

Basis, Netweaver, Solman, OS/DB Migration, HANA

6. Required knowledge, skills and abilities :

- Bachelor or a Master degree

- Total: 15 plus years of SAP experience

- Relevant: Minimum of 5 years as a SAP Hosting Propositions Specialist

- Excellent English skills, written and oral

- Strong client and/or business facing consultancy experience.

- Minimum of 3 project life cycle implementations.

- Ability to manage stakeholders and work under pressure

- Knowledge of key technology trends
