Division : Global Presales

Detailed Description: Global presales NGDC - Europe (CE)

Role Definition : NGDC (Next Generation Data Center) presales

Roles and Responsibilities :

- Work as a NGDC Solution Director for the understanding the customer requirements/pain points and craft a strategy for designing the complete technology solution end to end

- Work with the Sales, Practices and Delivery teams, Finance and HR teams to come up with a competitive proposal response.

- Running presentations onsite including discovery of environment, due diligence and solution defence with customer

- Having complete responsibility and ownership of the solution design by the team from the technical and feasibility perspective

- To perform - Business Case Analysis- on the business viability of the proposed solution

- Work with different OEMs to understand their technology portfolio and create differentiated solutions which are contextual to customer

- Effectively coordinate with other stakeholders for customer visits, and play a lead anchor role

Domain Understanding :

Client-Centric Approach :

- Participation in large bid management through

- Orchestrating effective bid responses and owning the NGDC technology solution end to end

- Understanding the key drivers of the opportunity and recommending innovation in engagement models, pricing models

- Liaising with multiple stakeholders to create a winning proposition

- Anchoring awareness and due diligence workshops

- Develop entry strategy for new accounts, products & services

- Effective participation in business strategy formulation

- Work at onshore assessments, workshops, consulting assignments as part of a larger team.

- Managing customer visits aligning right proposition and members to make effective presentation and get connected with customer to get more insights into identifying and mine relevant business opportunities

- Provides orientation and work direction to the ecosystem of practices, other presales and enablement teams in line with the customer requirements.

Expertise and Knowledge required :

Technical :

- Good understanding and appreciation of the Technology landscape (IT Infrastructure - Data Center and its components, Cloud, Software packs, Networks, Security, Tools etc)

- Good technical understanding of Compute and Storage technologies

- Good understanding of Server and Storage Virtualization techniques

- Good understanding of various cloud platforms in industry such as AWS, Azure, SoftLayer etc

- Good understanding of market trends in cloud technologies

- Should be able to architect the private/public cloud scenarios in different client requirements

- Must have deep understanding and experience in architecting hybrid cloud orchestration scenarios

- Hands on experience on one of the tracks (compute/storage) will be added advantage

Interpersonal Skills :

- Excellent Written and Oral Communication skills.

- Understands Ways of Working, Works seamlessly with peer groups, Ability to connect with Sales and other technology teams.

- Understands HCL Infrastructure Services Division(ISD) Differentiators, Positioning and Peer Set Comparison, Present Corp pitch during induction sessions and internal team, Accompany Leadership/Vertical leads during client visits and understand messaging and articulation.
