REPORTS TO Lead - Special Projects

JOB PURPOSE:

Assist vertical lead in end to end management / supervise multiple projects (in the nature of ad-hoc/special, advisory, consulting, transformational) and be back-up of vertical Lead on need basis.

Skills and Experience:

1. Professional qualification/s and Experience: 

Essential :

- CA/CMA/MBA in finance from a reputed MBA institute Essential

- 7 to 15 years of post-qualification experience Essential

- Consulting / Advisory experience from reputed consulting firms / service industry

Preferable :

- PMP (Project management) certification Preferable

- Certification course in advance data analytics and / or any business management course will be an added advantage

2. Knowledge of relevant governing standards / frameworks:

- Expert level experience in performing Scenario analysis (i.e. Monte Carlo) and decision making analysis

- Working knowledge of various Decision making models /frameworks

3. Technical / functional knowledge:

- Expert level in Microsoft Excel / MS Access / other data analytic tools

- Advanced level expertise in creating simulation modelling, use of statistical techniques and modelling for data analysis

- Advance level expertise in data sampling techniques i.e. random, stratified, judgmental etc.

- Working knowledge of predictive modelling techniques Essential

- Expert level knowledge of quantitative risk assessment Essential

- Working knowledge of Financial and management accounting Essential

- Expert in Risk analysis (KRI modelling, risk quantification) Essential

- Thorough understanding of fraud schemes awareness and update

- Good business & legal acumen Essential

- Basic understanding of investigation tools, techniques and approach

- Working knowledge of Advance data analytical tools i.e. My SQL, Oracle SQL, ACL

4. Leadership skills:

- Past experience (minimum 5 years) of managing a team size of 4-8 employees

- Expert in conflict management, convincing ability, networking Essential

- Expert in change management skills

5. Soft skills:

- Strategic thinking, Essential

- High on integrity and ethical values Essential

- Decision making, Consultative, Innovative thinking Essential

- Self-disciplined and self-motivated Essential

Job Narrative :

1. Supervision / execution of special project(s)

- Managing complex assignments independently under limited supervision

- Perform project based research, identify good practices, drive the implementation of various initiatives

- Define project plan, identify critical milestones and strive for achievement, assign responsibilities of stakeholders,

- Define SOPs, Roles & responsibility matrix

- Preparing regular project updates for senior management

- Managing the operations (execution on the ground) for the transition period

- Manage project transition

2. IA best practice / compliance to IIA standards:

- Manage in-house quality reviews for engagements supervised / executed by him (her)

- Ensure work file documentation and compliance with IIA professional and attribute standards, IA methodology and IA Manual

- Assist in reviewing the risk rating scale used for forming audit opinion to ensure alignment with risk criticality and business goals

3. Assist in preparing update for senior management and AC:

- Assist vertical lead in preparing monthly update for the vertical lead and senior management

- Assist vertical lead in making periodic update for AC / Board (on need basis)

4. Knowledge management / team development:

- Implement a strong knowledge management framework

- Identify learning & developmental need of team members and provide / arrange technical and soft skills trainings

- Mentor team members on technical as well as quality issues
