The Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Vice President of Strategy for our company. As the Vice President of Strategy, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future direction of our media initiatives, identifying growth opportunities, and driving strategic initiatives to enhance our competitive positioning in the dynamic media landscape. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership to develop and execute strategies that align with our business objectives and lead to sustainable growth and innovation.

Responsibilities:

- Strategic Leadership: Lead the development and execution of the media company's overall strategic plan. Provide insightful recommendations to the executive team on market trends, competitive landscape, and potential areas for expansion.

- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, consumer behaviors, and technological advancements that impact the media industry. Translate these insights into actionable strategies.

- Brand Strategy: Develop and articulate a compelling and cohesive brand strategy that aligns with the company's vision and resonates with target audiences. Oversee brand positioning, messaging, and visual identity to ensure consistent and impactful representation across all touchpoints. Champion brand equity and monitor its growth through effective brand tracking and analysis.

- Integrated Marketing: Lead the creation of integrated marketing strategies that seamlessly merge traditional and digital channels to enhance brand visibility and engagement. Collaborate with marketing teams to develop cross-channel campaigns that convey a unified message and maximize audience reach. Identify and cultivate partnerships that align with the brand strategy, amplifying our market presence.

- Media Strategy: Craft and execute media strategies that optimize the use of various platforms, ensuring the brand's message reaches the right audience at the right time. Stay ahead of media trends, technology advancements, and consumer behavior shifts to adapt strategies accordingly. Collaborate with content creators and producers to align media strategy with content creation, distribution, and monetization efforts.

- Growth Strategies: Design and implement strategies to drive revenue growth, audience engagement, and market share expansion across various media platforms, including digital, print, broadcasting, and streaming.

- Content Strategy: Collaborate with content creators, producers, and editorial teams to develop content strategies that resonate with target audiences, enhance brand identity, and differentiate the company within the competitive media landscape.

- Innovation and Technology: Stay abreast of technological advancements that could impact the media industry, such as AI, AR/VR, data analytics, and streaming platforms. Leverage these technologies to drive innovation and create unique value propositions.

- Performance Metrics: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of media strategies. Regularly monitor and analyze results, adjusting strategies as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.

- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of strategy professionals. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the strategy department.

- Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including senior executives, department heads, and functional leaders, to ensure alignment and support for strategic initiatives.

- Communication: Effectively communicate strategic plans, initiatives, and progress to various internal and external stakeholders. Present findings and recommendations in a clear and compelling manner.

Skills and requirements:

- Master of business Administration, Marketing, Media, or a related field.

- Proven track record of at least 12 years in strategic planning, business development, or related roles within the media industry.

- Strong understanding of media trends, consumer behaviors, and competitive dynamics. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.

- Excellent leadership and team management abilities. Effective communicator and presenter, capable of influencing and engaging diverse audiences.

- Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and navigate through ambiguity. Experience with digital media platforms, content creation, and distribution strategies.

- Familiarity with emerging technologies impacting the media landscape. Results-oriented mindset with a proven ability to drive growth and achieve targets.

- Adaptability and flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
