GVFL - Associate Vice President - Investments

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and oversee all aspects of the investment process including origination, deal screening, financial modelling, due diligence and working with the portfolio and eventually divestment from the investment.

- Prepare and present investment recommendations to Investment Committee.

- Post investment approval, lead and coordinate due diligence and lead negotiation for deal documentation and deal closing.

- Actively add value to the portfolio companies through business inputs, networks, fund-raising support.

- Track business performance and contribute for scaling up of their business.

- Strategize and manage divestment of GVFL's investment on a timely basis.

- Contribute actively towards overall fund level strategy

Other Responsibilities :

- Lead a team of Associates / Senior Associates (Investment)

- Support Investor Relations

- Actively participate in startup ecosystem and network with industry professionals

Qualification : CA / CFA / MBA Finance plus B.E. / B. Tech from a top tier educational institution.

Skill requirements :

- Entrepreneurial mindset with high ownership, Strong analytical skills with proven success in a role that provides due diligence, research and interpretation of market environment, opportunities and investment strategies.

- Understanding of the entire deal cycle from sourcing to closure.

- Intimate understanding of technology trends and well versed with start-up business evolution.

- Outstanding verbal and written communications skills

- Strong organization, leadership, decision making and problem solving skills with high levels of ethics and integrity

- Strong networks in the start-up and VC/PE Investors communities.

Experience : Minimum 5 years total experience in financial services with adequate exposure to Venture Capital / Private Equity investments, preferably in early stage investments.

Remuneration : Remuneration will be commensurate with qualification and experience of the candidate.
