Guitcom - Manager - Business Valuation

One of the largest public accounting firms in the United States, with over 3000 staff across various locations, has setup an offshore center at Bangalore to deliver high quality professional services. We are currently looking for Managerial candidates to be part of the key pilot team

Requirements and Skills

- A certified Chartered Accountant (ACA) OR Bachelors/Masters Degree in Accounting or Business or Economics

- Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) and/or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designations are preferred

- At least 4 years of experience with a recognized organization(s) performing valuations of closely-held companies, equity/debt, intellectual property, and other intangibles, etc.

- Previous experience supervising and training team members

- Previous experience of financial statement analysis is required. Understanding of USGAAP is preferred

- Should have experience of conducting market research for one or more industries. Preferably understanding of US market.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal skills

- Experience in creative problem solving, critical thinking and research skills

- Experience in handling multiple priorities, tasks and simultaneous projects preferred.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Job role

- Managing clients seeking business valuations by guiding associates, conducting financial statement and valuation analysis, preparing industry and economic outlooks, valuation report writing, and conducting specific valuation research projects.

- Determines the purpose, standard, premise, level of value, approaches and methods used in a valuation engagement

- Leverages technical knowledge and experience to provide effective project management and practice development

- Complete business valuation modeling and write ups

- Identifies and proposes modifications and opportunities for efficiencies in the business valuation process

- Participates in professional and community organizations to develop network

- Reviewing third party valuations for reasonableness and providing review memos to audit teams.
