About the position/ firm:
- Position is based out of Bangalore to support a Dubai based family office (FO);
- The FO is in the process of setting-up multiple greenfield businesses across multiple sectors, such as real estate, restaurants, hospitality, agro-farming, infrastructure utility projects such water & wastewater treatment, renewable energy power projects etc.;
- Additionally, the FO is also proposed to make a few acquisitions, both in the form of minority investments as well as majority controlling stake buyouts, across the sectors as mentioned above and others;
- The transactions/ businesses shall be global, with primary focus on Middle East;
Job description:
- Draft, review, interpret, negotiate and finalize a wide variety of agreements including those required in setting-up new businesses (lease agreements, approvals, licenses, permits etc.), making brownfield transactions (high level legal diligence, SPA, SSA, SHA etc.) and expanding existing businesses (JV agreements, contracts, consortium agreements etc.);
- Manage the compliance of dynamic regulatory requirements of the underlying the businesses;
- Identify direct and indirect risks and come up with effective mitigation strategies, which will safeguard the interest of the businesses of the FO and its stakeholders;
Skills Required:
- Established experience in drafting, negotiating and finalizing commercial contracts and transaction agreements, directly with the counterparties;
- Outstanding organizational skills, including multi-tasking, working under pressure with short-timelines, output oriented approach, taking ownership etc.;
- Remarkable communication and inter-personal skills;
- Ability to blend commercial sense while drafting, negotiating and finalizing contracts/ agreements.
