This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following :


- The purpose of this role is to act as Champion, Owner, and Custodian of all R2R Data for Close and Control e.g. SAP ERP including the ReconNet module, Trintech and RPA, referred to as the GSK “template”. This is a global template covering both Commercial and Manufacturing business processes.


- The Data Manager is responsible for setting the data definitions for all Record to Report aspects of the SAP and Cadency template. This also includes the responsibility for defining, maintaining and communicating the global data standards for R2R.


- They will assess business requirements for new Master Data fields and drive the business towards common, simple, standard global data standards.


- The nature of the role will vary over time; sometimes the focus will be on significant transformation and at other times it will be on keeping the process on track and driving process adoption / adherence.


Role Expectation :


- They will provide support, oversight to the R2R GPO and Master Data teams to determine if there are any problems caused by incorrect master data, collating and providing expertise to determine the root cause and provide solutions.


- The Data Manager will provide the Subject Matter Expertise and represent the R2R GPO group with internal customers i.e. Central Data Management Team.


- The Data Manager will maintain the C&C Master Data in line with GSK Standards and ensure that the data is aligned across the C&C systems to support internal and external reporting e.g. Statutory, BISON and ICT.


- Provide input to and approval of the Data Dictionary and / or Data Field Definition documentation regarding definition of fields based on the framework and process provided by the Central Data Management Team.


- Collate, manage and assess Data remedy tickets sent to the R2R team to determine if the issue is caused by problems relating to master data:


- Root cause the issue, working with the Data Management Organization.


- Determine if the change is “local” or “global” and if the change is Global, then engage stakeholders and conduct an impact assessment before implementing.


- Partner with Tech to determine any SAP or Cadency data tables that may need to be updated and work with Tech to ensure a successful change.


- Ensure any changes are signed-off by the GPOs.


- Engage with users on the impact of the solutions via engagement forums.


- Engage with users on the impact of the changes via the R2R COP


- Assess and sign-off requests for R2R master data triggered by changes from the business or Group.


- Determine if the change is “local” or “global” and if the change is Global, then engage stakeholders and conduct an impact assessment before implementing.


- Partner with Tech to determine any SAP and/or Cadency data tables that may need to be updated and work with Tech to ensure a successful change.


- Ensure any changes are sign-off by the GPOs.


- New Accounting standards


- Receive instruction from the R2R Master data GPO on the requirement for new master data objects.


- Determine if the change is “local” or “global” and if the change is Global, then engage stakeholders and conduct an impact assessment before implementing.


- Assess requirements for SAP and /or Cadency data tables.


- Raise a ticket with the Tech for creation/changes etc


- Analyse Master Data sets e.g. WBS or Cost Centres to determine if we have proliferation or misalignment.


- Master Data Project Activities, with triggers for Master Data Projects activities including :


a. CET/Corp initiatives e.g. Acquisitions, Divestments, Org changes etc.


b. Template enhancements to improve the usability of the system.


c. Projects driven by other process towers impacting R2R data.


For these projects the C&C Data Manager will :


- Understand the business requirement from a master data perspective.


- Provide a recommendation for how the change should be made.


- The Data Manager will also support the data elements in RPA and Cadency.


We would like to speak to you if you have these experience and skills :


- Master Data Management.


- Experience of setting data definitions.


- Experience or working with SAP and or Cadency Data tables.


- Good Understanding of SAP ERP Templates and SAP FC Trintech and RPA technologies.


- Possess solid experience of ERP processes within relevant process area and integration points with other process areas.


- Excellent communication skills.


- Flexible to Work in shift operations to cater based on the business needs.
