The group is one of the leading conglomerates with interests across fmcg, plastics,chemicals and trading. With its head-quarters in Lagos, Nigeria, the group operates across China, India, Middle-east and Africa. As the group is growing exponentially, it is looking for a senior suitable candidate to lead funding, treasury function, creating forecasting models, assessing risk in investments and ensuring all accounting activities comply with regulations. S/He will also be responsible for maintaining the Group's financial health and increase profitability. The role will report to the Head - Group Shared Services and will be based at the group's head-office at Lagos, Nigeria. The incumbent will be responsible for the following: 1. Manage group CapEx funding availability as per plan 2. Meet day-to-day financial obligations of the Business Units / Group 3. Monitor and ensure Return on Investment (RoI) as per agreed levels / bench-marks 4. Manage cost of borrowing funds for the group 5. Work with leadership to formulate mid and long term plans 6. Build models to project long-term growth of the Business Units and the Group 7. Using tools, provide insight into business performance 8. Prepare business cases to support new investment, strategic and other business decisions 9. Provide insights to senior management around financial modelling, forecasts and profitability The incumbent will be a part of group leadership. To be successful in the role, s/he must: 1. Be a Chartered Accountant (CA) 2. Have at least 20 years post-qualification experience 3. Have raised large funds 4. Led funding / treasury / finance functions for a large group 5. Managed M&amp;A, private placement Experience in working in Africa will be of added advantage.
