Group Account Director - Public Relations - BFS (12-18 yrs)
PR Group Account Director - Mumbai
Hiring PR Account Director for a leading PR Agency in Mumbai.
Client Servicing Skills:
- Partners with clients and other consultancies (i.e. design and interactive agencies) to develop comprehensive, strategic and integrated communications programs that complement the client's business objectives and deliver results
- Acts as a client leader and maintains a clear and consistent communication channel between the client and the account team
- Oversees quality implementation for a group of accounts, keeping programs on time and within budget
- Manages client meetings and account reviews to foster a strong and supportive relationship with clients
- Reviews all written documents and develops materials on complex issues (e.g. Q&A, key messages, speeches, holding statements etc.)
- May be required to be involved in issues and crisis management with the support of senior management
- Stays abreast of industry trends and takes an active interest in the client's business to preempt issues and provide strategic counsel to clients
Media Relations/Social Media Communications:
- Maintains a strong rapport with journalists/bloggers and identifies news angles and opportunities to meet their needs
- Maintains a steady and positive client presence in traditional and social media
- Develops, pitches and places positive stories by and about the client in appropriate business, trade and consumer media
- Handles complex media inquiries
- Oversees press events and takes part in media trainings, including drafting scenarios and Q&A
Team Leadership Skills:
- Acts as a coach and mentor to junior team members to deliver quality execution of client programs
- Retention of team members
- Effectively delegates tasks and oversees quality implementation
- Takes an active interest in staff development and provides on the job training to team members on day-to-day account management
- Keeps immediate supervisors briefed on team member performance, ensuring recognition of good performance and that any concerns are addressed in a timely fashion
Account Management:
- Understanding and Managing the Scope of Work
- Manages client programs and ensures they are kept within budget
- Ensures that all activities carried out for clients are properly documented and budget and status reports are submitted
- Actively participates in planning strategy and campaign execution.
- Oversees account administration duties such as billing and activity reports are completed correctly and on time
New Business:
- Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts. Presents recommendations internally and follows through in presentation of new recommendations to clients
- Participates in new business brainstorms and drafting new business proposals
- Takes part in new business pitches and presentations to new business prospects
Language Requirements:
- Strong English writing and speaking skills
Qualifications required:
- University degree in Communications or related discipline
- 15 + years of experience into the same field is a must
