Job Location : Mumbai  Greenlight Planet is a US-based, for-profit social business on a mission to deliver honest, affordable energy devices to the world& its two billion under-electrified consumers. Today 7 million households in 60+ countries use our Sun King solar lights for light life and study each night and we are adding 8,000 new households each day. Our products are sold through our in-house network of 1,000+ village direct sales agents and distribution partnerships with 400+ leading retail, consumer finance and development organizations- including One Acre Fund, Total, SKS and 20 in 50 countries in Africa and Asia.  Key responsibilities:  - Ensuring rapid expansion, allocation of resources, marketing activities and operational alignment in the cash sales channels.  - Ensuring high motivation amongst the team by preparing effective variable plans and reporting structures.  - Ensuring sustainability and profitability of the channel.  - Innovating and implementing new ideas for expanding sales and ensures high demand for Sun King products in the field.  - Identifying the best channels for reaching the last mile and deploys technology in the field through the Sun King retail application.  - Devising engagement strategies with the retail partner in terms of manpower allocation and beat plans, hires competent workforce and allocates effective incentive plans.  - Coordinating with the marketing team for planning activations whenever new areas are launched and executes BTL activities on the field effectively.  - Meeting aggressive sales and revenue targets.  The ideal Sun King- Key Account Manager- Retail, Global Partnerships:  - Has a rural management or sales/ marketing degree from a premier b-school and at least 3 years of experience in channel sales, distribution, manpower management preferably in an FMCG/ Consumer Electronics industry in India.  - Team management experience of managing sales promoters/ executives is a must.  - Proficiency in Kannada and/or Tamil is a plus.  - Is a swift executor, effective leader and an innovator.  - Can understand the nuances of various channels- operating models and create customized sales and service models.  - Is a strong people-person, one that thrives off of the energy of navigating complex organizations and building relationships both within the organization and externally.  - Can tell a great story, communicates clearly and can capture the interest and attention of 2, 20 or 200 people naturally.  - Has a strong a record of meeting revenue targets and experience growing new business lines.  - Is entrepreneurial and excited about the opportunity to creatively build effective, non- traditional sales channels in a nascent product category.
