We are looking for a Risk Lead - Consumer Finance who will lead our credit and risk functions. This position will be a core leadership role in the company. Key Responsibilities - Lead and take ownership of the entire risk function at GrayQuest. Build a team and a system that is tailormade for the unique risk characteristics of our business line - Develop a master risk thesis for our different lines of products (Schools, Universities, Edtech) and create scorecards and risk algorithms for all such products - Automate credit decisioning and work with our tech team to implement the scorecards - Devise onboarding journey for new as well as repeat customers with multiple flows such as Bureau based STP, Banking based STP and lastly manual underwriting process with a focus on speed and efficiency - Regular portfolio monitoring and working with collections team to ensure continuous improvement of risk framework in the organization - Represent the company with our lending partner Financial Institutions such as Banks & NBFCs, creating alignment with them on our risk and underwriting thesis - Coordinate with management to build new products focused on the education ecosystem - Work with external data providers such as Credit Bureaus and other API providers to further streamline credit process by data validation methods Key Requirements - 5-12 years work experience in policy or risk functions related to unsecured consumer or retail loans Fintech/NBFC/MFI/Small Finance Bank/Bank. - Experience in products such as credit cards, 2 Wheeler loans, Consumer Durable loans, personal loans or small business loans is preferred - Strong work ethic, a start-up ethos and high ownership mindset is a must - Keen interest and follower of fintech trends in the ecosystem About GrayQuest GrayQuest, based in Mumbai and incorporated in 2017, is one of India's largest vertical focused consumer financing company in the education sector - mainly focused on providing zero cost EMIs for the $100B education ecosystem in India.
