Grant Thornton - Associate Director - Financial Reporting & Advisory Services - CA/ACCA (7-10 yrs)
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide accounting advisory support, including implementation assistance in Ind AS and other international GAAPs
- Effectively assist seniors / self-initiate in business development activities across clientele by identifying opportunities beyond the scope
- Support a portfolio of engagements, by leading a team of Assistant Managers, Seniors and Associates
- Lead by example, delegate work successfully and develop and maintain high performing teams.
- Conduct timely performance reviews and provide performance feedback to the team
- Monitor time and manage deadlines of the assignments and ensure quality of deliverables
- Support / Work on preparation of proposals & budgets and ensure timely billing and collections from the clients
- Ability to research technical topics efficiently and effectively and provide periodic technical trainings to the team members.
- Ability to perform in a client facing environment and act as the SPOC for all client related issues
- Strong analytical bent of mind and structured problem solving approach towards assignments
- Ability to work independently and with the team to efficiently manage projects according to strict deadlines
- Build, maintain, and enhance client relationships effectively
Desired Profile:
- 7+ years of experience in Financial Reporting and Advisory, Accounting Advisory
- Qualified CA / ACCA
- Good communication skills (Verbal & Written)
- Client facing experience is preferred
- Willingness to travel - Domestic or International
Skill Set:
- Expert technical knowledge of Ind AS, IFRS and US GAAP
- Strong communication (both verbal and written), report writing and review skills
- Strong MS Excel skills, along with good working knowledge of other computer programs.
- Extensive knowledge on presenting facts, findings and observations to interested parties, including auditors
- Demonstrating experience as a team leader by creating a positive environment by monitoring workloads of the team while meeting client expectations and respecting the work-life quality of team members, providing candid, meaningful feedback in a timely manner, and keeping senior members informed of any progress or issues.
