GrabOnRent - Merchandiser & Buyer - Furniture

Roles & Responsibilities

1. End to end ownership of the furniture category - Developing and executing the Category strategy & roadmap, procuring products and taking charge of the P&L

2. Increasing and improving category assortment

3. Plan selection through market visits by understanding buyers insights, seasonality changes and prevalent sales and marketing strategies

4. Building a robust and predictable supply-chain of supply-side partners and developing long-term partner relationships

5. Negotiating with the partners to create value for both the parties.

6. Analysing consumer buying patterns and predicting future trends.

7. Managing inventory levels to inventory norms & regularly replenish the stock from suppliers and stock availability in warehouse

8. Manage growth and P&L for the category.

9. Should be able to take measures to improve the bottom line.

10. Decide on the pricing for the customers

11. Understand and analyze the market positioning, trends and consumer psyche and create strategies to innovate consumer offerings and drive growth.

12. Collaborate with cross-functional teams- design, product engineering, marketing and business finance to lead category specific initiatives.

13. Stay on top of changing trends and strategic priorities through in-depth data analysis to predict customer behavior

14. Achieving 100% availability and 98% + fill rate with customers

Traits we look for:

1. Experience of 2-5 years with category management and procurement is a must for this role.

2. Deep understanding of consumer business and prior experience in driving category business in a relevant space/organization.

3. An entrepreneurial drive to open up new opportunities of growth and strong execution rigour to follow it up.

4. Energy, Ideas & Ownership. Lots of them.

5. Prior experience of working with highly skilled cross- functional teams.

6. Leadership & startup experience are a huge plus for us

7. Exhibit excellent skills in acquiring and managing business alliances.

8. Strong analytical and excel skills Self-motivated; should be willing to work hard to achieve and exceed targets

9. Proven ability in building relationships in complex environment
