Key Responsibilities - - Work for organization's policies and objectives involving local, state, and federal government affairs - Maintain and nurture the relationships with government, concerned ministries/departments & associated authorities, etc. on behalf of the company - Build relationships across diverse stakeholder groups including Industry associations, stakeholders from embassies, think tanks, etc. - Assist in the establishment of corporate strategies, policies, and plans, which align with government laws, regulations & standards - Lead analysis of proposed legislative actions, determines the potential impact on the organization, and develops appropriate responses - Monitor legislative, regulatory activities, and policy issues relevant to the company on a regular basis and promote the company's market position - Develop and execute political campaign contribution strategies and state-level legislative strategies, including developing and executing local grass-root initiatives in the key states and markets - Work to enhance brand awareness and reputation by attending political and community events on behalf of the company Require Skillset - - 15 + years of experience and prior experience of working with Government & Regulatory Affairs and Public Policy - Possess knowledge and understanding of the policymaking in India - Experience in workings with Government in India, key institutions & regulatory authorities, and Industry associations - Prior work experience with state or federal political campaigns is a plus - Possess extensive knowledge of politics and the legislative process
