The GSAM Insurance team is a dedicated group of relationship managers, fixed income portfolio managers, strategists, and accounting professionals that are 100% focused on insurance clients. The group has over 19 years of experience managing assets for insurance companies and currently oversees more than $417 billion of insurance assets globally.

Responsibilities and Qualifications :

- Insurance portfolio management and monitoring team is an integral part of the Insurance fixed Income portfolio management team. Initial focus of the role will to provide support to the Senior Insurance Portfolio Managers and sector portfolio managers by helping with portfolio management, trade construction, constraint compliance and ensuring risk is appropriate to meet client objectives.

Role Responsibilities:

- Regularly review portfolio characteristics (e.g. duration, carry), cash levels, and account consistency; make recommendations to Senior LPM and desk PMs.

- Help design and model client portfolios through GSAM internal systems, that align with GSAM views and client objectives.

- Work with portfolios managers to help implement current investment views across accounts with varying objectives and constraints.

- Coordinate with different sector teams to reflect their best views in the portfolio as well as trading activities for multi credit portfolios

- Work with CRM and sales to support various client requests

- Perform topical analyses as market and client opportunities arise

- Undertake risk exception monitoring

- Attend client meetings/calls with Senior LPMs

- Engage with SCS/ Guidelines team for operational setups and regular portfolio maintenance.

Qualifications and Preferred Skillset:

- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required. CFA study preferred

- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with excellent attention to detail

- Knowledge and understanding of Fixed Income markets

- Experience with or understanding of portfolio management and construction is preferred

- Highly motivated with the ability to work independently as well as thrive within a fast-paced team environment

- Curious individual with strong critical thinking skills who enjoys problem-solving
