Job Title

Senior Manager Contracts and Procurement , South India

Role Summary:

The incumbent will be based at Regional office, Bangalore in contracts and procurement vertical and shall be responsible for formulating Contracts, Award of Contracts , Administer the contracts and Closure of contracts. This involves negotiating with vendors and suppliers, drafting agreements, contractual correspondences, managing claims and extra works, periodic monitoring of billing & material reconciliations. The incumbent will also be responsible for developing regional resources from Process and Knowledge perspective.

Role & Responsibilities:

- Evaluate, rank, & recommend vendors to meet business requirements In terms of cost, time & quality following a systematic selection & evaluation procedure

- Responsible for on-boarding & finalization Contractors for different work packages i.e. Civil, Finishing, MEP, Interior, and Infrastructure etc. with an utmost focus on Cost, quality & delivery time lines & in line with the GPL's SOP.

- Responsible for Vendor management, vendor development, cost negotiations, new product development, contracting & developing strategy plan for different projects of GPL

- Benchmarking costs, collecting market intelligence & tracking commodity pricing - monitoring market dynamics

- Procurement management & oversight - continually look for opportunities of cost reductions & cost avoidance

- Lead the negotiations end to end with suppliers & get the best techno-commercial value

- Negotiate & manage contract on behalf of Company as per defined process in SOP

- Proactively Identifies areas of opportunity, process improvement i.e. development of SOPs & cost efficiencies etc.

- Provides insights in to how to best develop & leverage Vendor capabilities for the organization

- Primary point of Contact for overall category needs. Responsible for prioritizing demand across the category.

- Responsible for preparation of MIS like as Contracting Strategy includes analysis of Project risk & mitigation plan, Contract Appreciation Documents, Tender Event Schedule, EOT Tracker, Contract Closing Tracker etc.

- Responsible for Contract Administration i.e. Periodic reviews with various agencies & report all potential/anticipated claims, restrict impact of claims by vendors during Contract period, Control cost variations/extra claim, identify possible counter claims, periodic review of contractual correspondence with vendors, ensure Insurance cover through the project life cycle etc.

Qualification & Experience Required

BE - Civil with 15+ years of relevant experience in Real Estate / Construction Industry.
