Godrej Industries (Chemicals) - Manager/DGM R&D

Role Summary:

 - The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the entire development process of new products that includes Oleo-chemicals & Derivatives and / Or Bio-fermentation products (Home & Personal Care, Animal nutrition, Agricultural, Petroleum and Lubricants etc.). The job shall include development in lab (process and applications), analytical methods development, scale up to pilot and finally commercialization. 

- The incumbent will also bring new ideas for R&D in select business categories to generate higher revenue, increase margin or add new customers to help organization to maintain its competitive edge.

Your Roles & Responsibilities : 

- Bring and develop new concepts /products / new solution to customer/market by understanding market trends, customer expectations in Oleo-chemicals or Bio-products.

- Develop concepts, products and solutions by working with Sales & Marketing team.

- Develop and commercialize substitution product required / identified by sales or marketing team.

- Develop instrumental and / or wet analytical methods required for process monitoring and product analysis.

- Preparation of documents during all phases of R & D.

- Process improvement in regular product to reduce the cost and improve profits.

- Coordination with pilot plant and production people for smooth transfer of product technology into and out of company.

- Support production and QA/QC in case of troubleshooting and resolve customer complaint.

- Training to sales and marketing team on new products for product promotion with respect to its benefits, properties, applications, industries to be catered.

- Support sales and marketing team to promote new product/idea to customer by technical presentation.

- Visit customers for new product promotion, solving complaint, troubleshooting along with sales or market person.

- Monitor team metrics and objectives to ensure delivery of goals.

Position Requirements: 

Qualification: Masters or Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry or Oil Technology or Biotechnology.

Experience: Experience of 10 - 12 years after Masters or 5 - 7 years after Ph.D. in R & D of any Chemical Industry preferably Oleo chemicals, Surfactants or Home & personal care industry or Food & Pharma industry.
