General Manager Ancillary Sales

Job Purpose

Heads the ancillary sales function for generating Sales revenues through channels other than ticket purchase

Key Accountabilities - 

1. Ties up with Corporate Houses, Ad Agencies, Media Buying Houses/ Media Agencies, for Brand Visibility and Brand Engagement (baggage tags, boarding passes, inflight visibility and promotions etc.).

2. Develops operating plans, short & long term sales objectives in line with targets set.

3. Develops a good understanding of levers and opportunities for revenue improvements in this channels

4. Driving ancillary revenue and achieving ancillary revenue targets

5. Inflight Branding and Sales.

6. Account Management of ancillary product partners

7. Responsible for negotiation and/or fulfillment of commercial terms

8. Competition monitoring and comparison of commercial terms

9. Budget & revenue planning. Preparation of regular monthly cost analysis & revenue reports

10. Responsible for of all ancillary admin activities such as price offers, purchase orders, incoming invoice checking, accruals, outgoing invoicing of ancillary commissions etc.

11. Incremental revenues from new areas of Ancillary Sales (New Opportunity mapping)

12. Good Corporate Relationship and Media/ Ad Agency management and negotiations for Ancillary sales products

Education & Experience Qualifications (Include additional certificate required, if any)

Educational Qualifications (Include additional certificate required, if any) Necessary: Graduate (in any discipline)

- MBA

Desirable:

- Knowledge on airline procedures and distribution systems. - Advanced industry courses in Sales Skills - IATA, Standard/Advance course

Relevant Experience (Type of roles & duration which an individual should have done in his/her prior experience Necessary:

- Minimum 10 years- of experience in sales and alliances, Brand Management/Brand building

Desirable:

- Related sales/marketing experience (10 years or more) in domestic market.

- Network of relations in various markets

- Knowledge / exposure to LCC sales would be a plus
