GMR Group - General Manager - Cargo/Aero Related Business & FTZ (14-18 yrs)

Job Purpose

Responsibility for BD activities of Cargo, FTZ & Aero-related businesses of Fuel-Farm, Ground Handling & In-Flight Catering. Grow Cargo Business, increase Cargo thru-put, Cargo Airline frequencies and gauge, FTZ Customers, Non-aero revenues of lease rentals of Cargo Satellite Building offices & warehouses, Blue Dart terminal and develop Cargo Village. Grow Aero-related Business of Fuel Farm including O&M & Safety & Security responsibilities. Grow In-Flight Catering Business, manage Concessionaires & Airlines. Grow Ground Handling Business, manage Concessionaires and Airlines and ensure SLAs are delivered as per Agreement with all Stakeholders.

Links with the GHIAL's Mission of making RGIA a preferred Hub. Contribution of this position is directly linked to revenue growth and P & L of Company.

Key Accountabilities

1. Achieve Fuel Farm AOP revenue targets. Manage and Operate a 13,500 KL capacity State-of-the-art Fuel Farm with Profit center, Operational, Regulatory and Safety & Security compliances responsibilities.

2. Achieve Ground Handling AOP revenue targets. Manage and develop Ground Handling Businesses of major global companies, Menzies Aviation, Air India-SATS and local companies, by improving efficiency, productivity and profitability Prepare Business Case for 3rd Ground Handling Company at the Airport

3.Achieve In-Flight Catering AOP revenue targets. Manage and develop Catering Business of major global companies LSG SkyChef, SkyGourmet thru not only Airline Catering but also Commercial & Outdoor catering & improving efficiency, productivity and profitability

4. Achieve Cargo AOP revenue targets

5. Increase Cargo throughput: Work with Airlines, Freight Forwarders, Clients and other stakeholders by ensuring arrest of leakage of Cargo to other ports, Diversion of Cargo from other catchment areas to RGIA. Working on unique & innovative solutions for customers making RGIA the preferred destination for the trade community. Working closely with the terminal operations, identify benchmarking operation practices and ensure best practices followed in the cargo handling. Identify improvement areas in process flow of cargo, leading to dwell time efficiency of both Import & Export Cargo leading to a user friendly terminal.

6. Increase International Freighter ATMs: Increase International connectivity by inviting new Airlines to operate/increase frequencies from RGIA. Prepare a business case for the airlines highlighting the USPs of RGIA, Cost benefit analysis etc. leading to a win-win proposal. Follow up with the local, regional & global offices of the airlines towards commencement of frequencies

7. Sign new Customers for Cargo Satellite Building (CSB): Identify prospective clients for CSB & CSBX, follow up with the prospective clients, prepare business proposals, initiate discussions & negotiations and close the business.

8. Sign new Customers for Free Trade Zone (FTZ): Identify prospective clients for FTZ, follow up with the prospective clients, prepare business proposals, initiate discussions & negotiations and close the business. Keep updated about the regulatory requirements for operating of FTZ. Assist clients in obtaining necessary approvals for the FTZ.

11. Launch new Products to expand Cargo Village: Launch Cargo Satellite Building Extension & Business Cases approved for Perishables, Pack-House & Intl Express Terminals

12.Execute Global Marketing initiatives to promote RGIA facilities

13. Stakeholder Management, Nil Regulatory non-compliances: Initiating and managing excellent relationships with all the stakeholders of the Airport such as Customs and other regulatory bodies, Airlines, Ground Handling Companies, Fuel Farm Operator, Fuel Marketing Companies, In-flight Caterers, Logistics & Trading communities, JVs, Transportation and Road Feeder Service networks towards facilitating business.

14.Business Excellence & Other Quality Initiatives (IMS, Kaizen, CIP etc)

Educational Qualifications

MBA/Post Graduate in Marketing/Finance/General Mgmt/International Trade from reputed B-School with good awareness of Macro Economic principles, GDP, Aviation and International Trade with preferred Engineering Graduate Degree

Relevant and total years of Experience

Minimum 14 years- of B2B Sales/Business Development experience preferably with Airport/Airlines
