Job Description

The position is with the clients Advertising & Marketing arm of the organization. It is in the business of providing communication solutions that are unique and complimentary to cater to present and potential needs of our clients, thus creating differentiating experience across the value chain.

Profile Synopsis-

Formulate the sales strategy through study of market intelligence and contemporary trends, innovate and develop new ideas and develop channel neutral solutions for existing as well as prospective clients. Drive strategy execution through periodic reviews and project execution with the objective of meeting the budgeted targets and increase revenue, market share / yield for the respective category / industry vertical

Role deliverables :

1. Gather and analyse market intelligence, trend analysis and scenario building for respective category / industry vertical

Key Account Management: Develop and maintain rapport with key clients / agencies, create awareness of existing and new services offered. Partnering with the client for improving their advertising ROI, understand and address client’s business concerns in order to become their preferred media vehicle.

Sales Planning and Review: Prepare and communicate the overall sales plan to the team. Conduct weekly planning sessions with them in order to achieve the budgeted figures and market share.

Smartsell & New Initiatives: Identify and build new business sub-verticals apart from the existing ones and take them to the next level of revenue generation. Identify and assist other Response initiatives which may fit with the given category / client profile, suggest / co-create a marketing platform in sync with the client’s communication objectives in order to get incremental business through new initiatives and new clients.

Team Management: Manage and motivate the team for multiple business initiatives. Provide feedback to the team members on performance, identify areas and coach them for enhancement / improvement, collate market information, and suggest necessary course corrections in order to maximize the effectiveness of the team.

The roles entails engaging with CEOs and Marketing heads, understanding the need of the client and develop innovative and customised concept selling ideas. Accompanying team members on high value calls, review and present proposals, suggest appropriate communication solutions in conventional or non-conventional formats in order to increase usage from existing clients, and induce usage from new clients

Evaluate the brief given by the client, direct the team to gather the relevant data, come up with channel neutral ideas and innovative solutions basis the brief, check for the feasibility of the plan and take relevant approvals, and prepare the presentation pitch in order to maximize the value for the client and assist in enabling exponential growth of the value of the brand.

Oversee, control, monitor, and standardize norms with internal (edit, brand, sales, art & edit) as well as external (vendors & clients) stakeholders in order to ensure timely and smooth implementation of turnkey projects.

Desired Skills & Experience:

- MBA Marketing with 13+ years of experience is Sales/ Business Development/Key Account Management with a demonstrated record of growing businesses at a regional/national level (preferably from sectors like Retail, FMCG/Consumer Durables, Real Estate, Telecom, Hospitality, Airline, Luxury, Interiors, BFSI, Telecom, etc) with a basic knowledge of media, clients and agency business.

- A basic knowledge of media, clients and agency business

- Ability to lead a strong/ large team

- The individual must exhibit leadership skills, strategic thinking, execution skills and must be a team builder with inspiring communication & presentation skills.

- Strong process orientation and high creative ability

- Handling P&L responsibilities.
