GM - Finance & Accounts - Manufacturing

The Role Purpose is to :

- To oversee the entire accounting and financial operations pertaining to the Head Office, Location Offices and Manufacturing Units and ensure implementation of the organisational policies pertaining to financial matters in the interest of the organisation considering legal and statutory compliance.

- To keep the senior management abreast of the profitability, budget analysis and any deviations through effective reports / MIS

Expectations from the Role / Job

- Preparation of budgets & Analytics

- Development of Annual Financial Budget and group level consolidation.

- Preparation of budgets based on the above and inputs from various stake holders involved CEO, CFO, Business Heads,

- Department Heads, Finance and taking relevant sanctions for the rollout of the same

Preparation of Budgets

- Monitoring and controlling the budgetary spends based on the agreed figures.

- Post monitoring, provide analysis on various mid-term / course correction in the budgets and facilitate the cost effectiveness of these spends by way of qualitative analytics and deploying efficiency initiatives.

- Complete ownership of Budget Planning, communicating, cost productivity, validating and reviewing on a continuous basis.

- Creation of various reports, flash, forecasts, actual against the benchmarks (budget, industry, etc) and keeping the management informed on the course of Business with regards to Profitability and Revenues.

- Complete ownership of validating the short term costing initiatives and calculation of Break-evens, profitability, etc.

General Accounts

- Review Trail Balance of all locations and expenses against each cost centre regularly and suggest necessary corrections on time

- Corporate Profitability including consolidation of location accounts and manufacturing units

- Quarterly results consolidation for board approval in accordance with listing requirements.

- Arrange advance tax estimates as per Income Tax requirements periodically (estimation of turnover, gross margin, expenses, interest and gross profit based on sales forecasting provided by the product departments and monitor e-payment of advance tax on quarterly basis.)

- Finalisation of annual accounts including preparation of Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Statements, Cash Flows and Bank Reconciliation.

- Interaction with statutory and internal auditors including group level consolidation with subsidiaries abroad.

- Handle internal audit reports of locations as well as manufacturing units on accounting issues

- Supervise and guide location accounts on their day to day operational matters.

Business Analytics

- Communicate segment wise gross margin reports for each business units to all concerned.

- Develop effective MIS reports on P&L and various presentations for board meeting / SBU reviews.

Trust Management

- Manage the accounting and settlement operations with regards to the various employee benefits trust vis--vis PF, Superannuation Fund and Gratuity.

- Handle the investment of the amount deposited in the PF trust in various government securities.

- Liaison with various government authorities in managing the trusts.

- Ensure smooth settlement of these funds during employee separation / other reasons

- Oversee development of PF contribution statement including deductions against loans.

Others

- Coordinate with the statutory / internal auditor for conducting periodical audits and analyse their observations for improvement

- Ensure compliance of laid down processes & norms

Key Decisions this job will facilitate

- Closure of Financial Books of Accounts, P&L and Balance sheets

- Decision on Budgets and Opex proposals

- Support the management on taking various decisions based on KPIs and trends and prioritizing the direction as well as the expenditure
