GM - Business Development for US Market (Pharma)

Company : One of the Largest and Fastest Growing Pharmaceutical Company in India

Role : GM - Business Development for US Market

Location : Okhla, New Delhi and travelling involved

Education : Master or Ph.D Degree in Science. MBA is preferred.

Experience : 8-12 years of experience in Pharmaceutical industry with at least 3 years in US Generics Business Development role.

GM - Business Development for US Market BD and Portfolio Head- Based in USA

Position's major goal is to support Business Development activities such as in licensing and Co-development of US generics formulation :

- To supplement internal product development activities with external alliances

- To support short and long term growth of US generics business.

- In this role, the individual is expected to generate, negotiate and contract with potential partners based in India and internationally. This position also provides critical commercial inputs to portfolio development and alternate source development activities.

Job Description :

- Responsible for screening, spotting, evaluating and negotiating in licensing / co development ANDA product opportunities from third parties for US market

- Provide commercial and financial insights in evaluation stages of the transaction such as Portfolio/Asset valuation for in-licensing as well as acquisition opportunities

- Establish and Manage Due Diligence processes while collaborating with R&D, IP, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Sales & Marketing, and Supply Chain functions

- Manage relationships with business partners throughout development and commercialization of products

- Establish processes to track and measure compliance of business Alliances in following up with post contract execution

- Work with portfolio selection team to identify and recommend new products, in line with core competence of the organization, for internal development. Constantly monitor market landscape to identify low hurdle opportunities

- Identifying new business segments outside of current focus and develop business plans where appropriate to support new initiatives

Skills and Knowledge :

- Able to effectively structure sales forecasts, P&L- s, risk analyses and company valuations; strong understanding of discounted cash flow, net present value (NPV), internal rates of return (IRR) and other risk analysis techniques.

- Good understanding of key concepts in pharmaceutical dosage form development process, including regulatory and IP aspects.

- Ability to take leadership role on elements of major deals and provide full support to Senior Management on all aspects of major deals

- Lead multiple projects efficiently and with a high degree of independence

- Ability to review and edit contract and give direction to Legal in writing contracts

Education : Master or Ph.D Degree in Science. MBA is preferred.
