GM/AVP (Head)-Finance & Accounts (MNC Manufacturing Company)

Role:

- Heading finance function involving designing and implementing financial plans;determining financial objectives; formulating need-based business plans; policies and procedures to facilitate internal financial control; for maximizing profitability and revenue generation.

- Formulating budgets and conducting variance analysis to determine difference between projected & actual results and implementing corrective actions in a manufacturing industry of capital equipment

- Preparation & presentation of Project Reports to various financial Institutions & Banks for raising project funds.Liaise with Banks/ Financial Institutions for loans and credit line for business operations. Evolving most cost effective structures of financing for projects. Setting up robust monitoring mechanism for project cost controls

- Implementing effective costing systems for determining costs at various stages, monitoring various overheads and achieving optimum cost control. Formulating budgets for material consumption, establishing norms for fixing standards for year, reviewing performance of abnormal costs borne & direct cost and detailed variance analysis

- Monitoring and managing fund flows for optimum utilization of available funds and interacting with banks and funding agencies. Formulating budgets and analyzing variances to determine and implement corrective actions

- Designing and implementing systems to ensure smooth functioning of finance & accounting operations across the organization. Supervising the preparation of MIS reports to provide feedback to top management on financial performance, viz., fund management, risk control, profitability, etc.

- Designing & implementing systems, procedures and manuals for the preparation and maintenance of statutory books of accounts and financial statements; ensuring compliance with time and accuracy norms. Coordinating internal and statutory audits; evaluating internal control systems / procedures with a view to highlight shortcomings and implementing necessary corrective measures

- Preparing audit schedules/plans and ensuring completion of the same within stipulated time frame. Evolving and implementing corrective actions based on audit observations and monitor/follow-up for improvement.

- Overseeing timely filing & assessment of direct/ indirect returns, transfer pricing returns etc. as per provisions of statutory / regulatory bodies.

- Ensure corporate taxation and compliance with allied laws to ensure that the organization's finances are accurately reported and taxes optimized. Undertake periodic tax planning exercise to ensure minimum tax burden to the company.

- Carry out timely and comprehensive analysis of any changes in the tax framework to ensure tax optimization within the existing legal framework

- Minimize contingent liabilities on account of any infringement of statutory obligations

- Drive Corporate Governance norms and ensure transparency in all operations

- Evaluating internal control systems to highlight the shortcomings & implementing necessary recommendations.

Requirements:

- Educational Qualifications: CA. MBA Finance may be an added qualification

- Min 18-20+ years of post qualification experience

- Should have wide exposure across finance and accounts functions like strategic planning, project funding, cash-flow management, banking relationship management, audit, statutory compliances, taxation, transfer pricing compliances etc. preferably in an MNC

- Should have worked in a leadership role in Finance & Accounts in a Manufacturing Company, preferably in an MNC

- Possess excellent people skills and relationship building skills

- Should be hands on in Tally

- Understanding of ROC processes and Statutory Requirements

- Age ~ 45-50 years

- Should have very strong business orientation

- Strong communication skill, Marathi spoken and written skill essential

- Integrity

- Hands-on style of working

Location: Mumbai. Should be willing to move to Pune in future
