Global Reporting Analyst - Financial Firm

Role Context:

The Company is undergoing a significant business change in line with its growth ambition. The global finance function has led the transformation and reviewed the target operating model to support that growth. Supporting that model is the choice of Microsoft Dynamics 365 as the global finance solution.

After several years of working on process and system design, we have a finance systems template live in most of our largest countries. With regard to reporting, there is a significant project underway to look at how our company can improve its reporting capabilities to satisfy month-end reporting and operational business intelligence through the rationalisation of its reporting catalogue and improved reporting technologies.

Key Accountabilities:

- Work closely with the Reporting Lead in managing the reporting tower for the global Microsoft Dynamics 365 deployments across media, creative and project business models in EMEA, Americas and APAC regions

- Liaise with subject matter experts covering various disciplines to define pragmatic and standard processes supported by the global Microsoft Dynamics 365 solution, and remaining target system architecture

- Providing Training and walkthrough on reporting tools/toolkits.

- Partner with deployment teams to validate tax, legal and statutory reporting requirements and drive overall adoption of the global template by identifying local process workarounds where needed, and minimise localisations in reporting

- Perform the required business analysis on perceived gaps in the global catalogue to drive standardised reporting across the core finance processes and systems

- Input to the relevant governance boards with the programme and/or market teams and ensure that discussions are documented, and actions tracked to resolution

- Ensure reporting change requests raised via deployment or the ongoing support channels add value to the global template by liaising with market and solution teams in evaluating alternatives, so they are prioritised appropriately by the programme

- Support key Microsoft Dynamics 365 deployment activities through the design and adoption of reporting, incl. process improvements, global asset collaterals, training, test scenarios, reporting, and master data design principles

- Identify reporting gaps and improvements by using lessons learned from previous implementations and other best practices used across Global Operational Finance to enable market teams to deliver to plan, with minimal redesign

- Owns all documentation around the reporting tower and ensures it remains current including updates to the reporting landing page on the company intranet and reporting guides and catalogues

- Drive awareness of operational reporting needed to fully support business operations and control the environment in a market

- Actively support the achievement of the business benefits sought by the target systems architecture being deployed

Key Attributes:

- Actively build strong relationships with key stakeholders including the Bangalore Centre of Excellence Reporting Team, the Global Business Intelligence Team, and other stakeholders across central and market ERP deployment teams to enable effective decision making and support fit for purpose reporting

- Facilitate solution based working sessions among key stakeholders to drive & deliver reports that are future proof, providing a real focus on pragmatic value-added activities

- Comfortable managing ambiguity and able to adapt to change, influencing others where needed to deliver practical solutions

- Strong hands on project management skills required to enable successful delivery of key milestones, including the identification of priorities, risks and barriers that require action

- Attention to detail yet able to articulate key messages to senior stakeholders

- Actively & effectively communicates (written / oral) with key stakeholders and impacting individuals, driving out simple solutions to complex problems

- Keep the team informed of issues and decisions and help ensure they are supported appropriately in managing change

Knowledge and Qualifications

- Solid experience with the functional design and implementation of finance operational reporting including month-end financial statements and business intelligence initiatives within a disperse organisation

- Solid end-user operational reporting tools (Microsoft Dynamics and PowerBI)

- Experience of communicating with functional business users to capture reporting needs and translate these to technical solution architects to identify and deliver the reporting needs

- Experience of large-scale reporting projects in relation to ERP implementations and finance transformation

- Acutely aware of the end-user experience and attention to detail when designing reports

- Experience testing reports back to source and ensuring functional needs are delivered

- Significant exposure to project-based, creative, professional or marketing services industry

- Proven experience of successful collaboration with stakeholders at all levels, finance and non-finance in the relevant process tower

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building relationships with others and influencing positive outcomes

- Ability to work to challenging deadlines in a demanding fast paced environment

- An accounting qualification or equivalent, or a strong finance background would be preferred

- Fluent English language skills, other languages an advantage but not pre-requisite
