Global Procurement Director - Infrastructure Firm

Purpose:

- Development and Implementation of strategic sourcing to meet overall organizational objectives.

- Lead a team of professionals in guiding and driving them to identify cost competitive sources to enhance the margins, improve speed of delivery.

Qualification & Experience

- B. Tech / BE (Mechanical Engineering)/ PG in Material Management (Preferable)

- 20-25 years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement and Global Purchase practices

- Should have minimum 10 years of Experience from steel / fabrication / PEB/ Structural Steel /Infrastructure industry.

- Should have hands-on experience in SAP /ERP Systems

- Candidates having excellent networking / contacts with the Steel manufacturing

- companies and with international procurement exposure will be given preference.

KRA

- Identify cost competitive sources of raw materials and finished components, through price, value analysis (VA), volume leveraging and best country sourcing, so as to enhance margins and improve speed of delivery.

- Identify, develop and negotiate long term partnerships with strategic suppliers.

- Develop Supplier Relationship Management via quarterly reviews for all strategic suppliers, monitoring supplier performance, contract execution and cost reduction.

- Define and enforce the framework and process for proactive procurement policies, ensuring all compliance and good code of ethics are followed.

- Review existing contracts and understand business requirements; formulate guidelines and design standard vendor contract protocols.

- Identify and realization of cost-saving and cost-reduction opportunities and build a culture of long-term savings on procurement costs without compromising supply assurance or quality.

- Actively monitor and mitigate supplier risk including financial, capacity, quality and compliance.

- Efficiently resolve escalated issues.
